Fantastic Game!
So far, I love the idea and concept but as others have said, I would enjoy a first person mode a bit better. Other than that, it delivers a unique locomotion method in a stylish way, and provides an interesting experience that is ethereal and otherworldly, a definite plus for any VR game.
Best and most unique VR locomotion I've used!
Wow! What a trip (brought to you by VR without the support of our regular sponsors: Jack & Daniels) This game gave a new VR experience I've not seen in a VR game before (kind of like playing a side scrolling game all your life, then being exposed to the PS1 Jumping Flash game; yes, I'm old!). Now I'm certainly no VR expert, I'm just relating the joy of experiencing something new. I almost felt like Spider-Man when learning to crawl, almost felt like Superman when pushing off the ground then flying, and finally felt like Bill & Ted by saying "Whoah!' when doing both of these things. Am I gushing over this game? Yes, because it gave me a sense of child-like wonder at my older age, but all is not happy in la-la-land: - Crawling can be fun once you learn how to. Half the time when crawling, I'm pushing myself into the sky. Confusing controls at times (or at least my implementation of them). - Going from the tutorial to the first level (?) , is almost an exercise in frustration. I don't know how to get halfway through the bubbles before I'm all out of jet juice and crashing in the virtual pacific ocean. Another training level with some building upon what I learned in the tutorial would be a benefit to myself. I found myself going into the free roam world just so I feel like I got something accomplished. I can't thank you enough for the feeling of joy this game gave me, but would thank you for some more gradual 'ramping up levels'.
Fun to play around with. Unusual locomotion, using your hands on a small planet. Felt done with it after an hour or so, But it was a fun hour. If the VIVE headset was more comfortable, I might play it for longer.
When im in the tutorial screen or any other screen it says to recenter, when i hold the menu button nothing happens. help thanks bye
10/10 This is a fantastically freeing experience. Feels like you are flying like a superhero. Very relaxing as well, when you are in exploration mode. This is one of those games that you can replay again and again because you can fly and float and climb and crawl and launch yourself all over the planet. Nice ambient soundtrack also. Love finding the super power up bubbles for that jet speed boost. I imagine that this would be very therapeutic for someone wheelchair bound that is able to sit in an armless chair in order to play. Bottom line, a really cool and trippy game worth every dime of eight bucks.
Not for me, this game was a huge disappointment after how much the vive subreddit hyped this game. It just isnt interesting for me, the locomotion system is kind of cool i guess but feels gimiky fast. The point of the game seems to be just learning how to move using the locomotion system and exploring the trippy scenery, while collecting random stuff that feels like it doesnt matter.
I really wanted to like this game, but I just can't. The tracking is awful, you can't turn around if you soar off an edge because it throws your tracking off. You get a limited ability to fly, and when you do use it it'd not very accurate. Hands stick through the ground some times, there's nothing really to do other than collect gems. I understand why it is cheap now, I really don't understand why it has so many positive reviews. I won't be playing it again...
C'est fantastic,.
