This is awesome. Can't wait to get even more comfortable with motion/jumping/flying... what a blast... --------- Update after getting more comfortable: A lot of fun, nice environment, peaceful (but not necessarily easy) experience. Highly reccommend!
I've only just played this for maybe 20 minutes but it's awesome! Totally worth the $4 (on sale). I'm pretty skeptical about VR games because the genre is in its infancy and so developers sometimes charge waaaay too much money for what amounts to a short experience. If you're on the fence like I was, drop $4 on this! That's the price of a beer. Come on guys, if you've already spent this much on a VR setup you owe yourself experiences like this. What hooked me was the speed of the "rollercoasters". It was exciting, almost "terrifying" but not quite. Exhilirating is the right word. I'm on the sensitive side for VR nausea but it hasn't triggered any in me at all. I feel sick when turning and there's not much turning but you do fly forward really fast. The feeling you get from this game is what I imagine it would be like on your first day discovering your powers of flight as Superman. Now, it's possible that there's not much game left after the arcade mode (I'm only on level 5) but if this was all there was to it, it's still easily worth $4! A cup of coffee is like $1.75 these days. Plus, if I'm wrong, you can get your money back if you play less than 2 hrs on Steam so really, just try it out and thank me later :)
English
Interesting concept. Simple and relaxing game.
Español
Concepto interesante. Juego simple y relajante.
A very unique and original concept. As a developer myself, it was well worth it just to see how "iron man" thrusters felt in VR. As it is Early Access, I cannot give the full experience a proper review, but I can say that this has a lot of potential. I hope the developer makes good use of this potential.
I haven't played much, but the little I have got more Whoa's out of me than most games. Highly recommend this for the movement. You need your VR legs though, it will cause motion sickness in newbies.
Lucid Trips is a wonderful Ambient VR exploration Game. The sound track & sfx accompanying the cool visuals, make the experience even more immersive when navigating the planet. However, A First - Person Perspective would be recommended in my opinion. Non the less, I can recommend this Game, even though it's still in early access !
Seems to be some sort of exploration game. There isn't anything on the market quite like it. The movement consists of motions of your arms, instead of the normal warp to locale, or locomotion. If you ever wanted to see what it's like to fly like Iron Man in VR, this is a great place to start. Nothing like gliding along the top of the water. Though it takes getting used to. The arms are in front of you and it feels like you are experiencing some kind of out of body experience. Would highly recommend it for the price. It will only get better. Tip: Try the game laying down on a bench of some kind so you arms hang.
Can't make it work! The menu shows alright, but selecting anything just give me grey-ish flickering screens. On a Rift S btw.
A very neat flying experience! Easy to get lost / off track however while not finding the path again.
