Shoutout to swinkly for giving out keys to people speedrunning the demo. Dev clearly cares for sick schmoovement and making sure the levels flow well. Since the game is build for going fast, it's not long but holy hell is it fun.
Buttery-smooth speedrunning type of game that actually feels fun, agile, and fully respects your control of critical movement inputs. Super engaging and absolutely worth playing.
A fun little speedy platformer with a great movement system. You can beat it in one sitting, or grind out levels for better times for hours if you like! Oh, and a BANGER of a soundtrack.
A beautiful little platformer game saturated with passion. You can very much see the inspiration that this game draws from. It has the speedy level design you might find in some of the classic Sonic games, but with the movement mechanics heavily inspired by the game Celeste. There's also some nods to the soulsborne genre, but don't worry, the bosses won't make you want to break your controller ;) Overall, the game definitely feels like a speedrunning game made by a speedrunner. The feeling of going though the level quickly is satisfying and rewarding when you navigate through difficult areas. A word of caution though: don't expect to breeze through the levels without challenge. This is a game that rewards memorizing and mastering levels through replaying them, so don't feel bad by zooming past the keys (3 collectibles per level) until you have a better grasp of the level layout to try again. In addition, I don't want to gloss over the story in this game. I don't find many game's stories to be able to make me tear up, but this one certainly did. It's subtle, but you can definitely tell that the creators intention was not to make money from creating this, but to express and create a beautiful story through this medium of art. A $4 game off steam has no right to have a story that touching XD. I am glad to have played it, and I hope you'll enjoy it too!
Followed the devlogs from the very beginning and happy to see the game released! And it's really fun and quite difficult for perfectionists like myself! Highly recommend it for people who like SM64 and other old school platformers.
Fun speed running game. Worked on linux out of the box. Can recommend :D
not particularly interesting gameplay is nothing you've never seen before controls are not well thought-out story is cringe-inducing "Challenging boss encounters" in the description is a pitiful lie the price tag is appropriate, but there isn't really any reason to buy and play the game
This game is exactly as fun as you would expect. A very intuitive Set of movement options, that have incredible depth for speed optimization. The game feels very polished, sound- and gameplaywise. The amount of unique gameplay is not huge, but fair because of the low price. All in all if you're looking for a fun game to play off and on, or you like to time-trial levels, then this is definetely a solid option.
I'm having loads of fun; I like the movement and it's fun to try and find skips by combining memories to be the speediest. The achievements are fun to go for too, well done Swonkle :)
Fantastic game! Just with there was a way to track which hints have been collected
