LOST EMBER: Rekindled Edition

I loved the original/classic version of Lost Ember so I was excited to play this version. The original ran really well on my pc, the rekindled was.. well... the opposite. Severe lag, the audio didn't play at the proper time, especially during cutscenes. The ground especially if water was present in the scene was completely transparent & invisible. I barely even made it out of the starting cave before I just gave up because of how garbage the rekindled version was running. Unless things change, I prefer the original 2019 version of the game. I even had my quality set to lowest in the settings & it still ran like complete garbage on my pc. I'm attaching my PC Specs to the review & I hope maybe a developer can fix whatever issues I'm having. I don't know how else to ask for support for the game outside of a review.

I'd give this game an 8/10. Considering this was made by a small team of devs, it's a very good game. It has a lot of gameplay and exploration elements, the music is pretty good, and the story is good as well when it starts piecing itself together. However, there are a lot of bugs and performance issues with the game. I have a good gaming laptop, I can run all modern games very well, but in this I had a lot of random lag spikes and stutters, and that killed immersion a lot of the time. Also graphical bugs, like texture/air colour popping. Once or twice I managed to somehow morph outside the world map (it was a tunnel in chapter 4 or 5) and other similar bugs like that. If these issues were worked on, I'd rate it even higher. But currently it's a fun game and worth the time to play it. I think this deserves a lot more love and attention that it has gotten.

Beautiful game for sure, but it's so glitchy that it basically became a rage game. Story is pretty meh, controls are annoying sometimes.

Eh. It has a good soundtrack, graphics, and premise, but that's about it. You see, it's very confusing, and it guides your hand in the begininng, but once you've "gotten used to it" it gets confusing. So, buy it don't buy it, but if you're okay with playing a game that's confusing, buy it!

Truely a breathakinly beautiful game, story, concept, design. The art, motion and platform layouts somthing special, the story was a suprise, as in, I wasnt expecting one and it was interesting. Replay value after a short breaks just like getting to play again, its a very good game.

I wept like an absolute baby on and off throughout the entire game. What an absolutely heart-breaking and simultaneously heart-warming story. So well thought out. The culture? the world? A female protag with amazing queer representation? characters that have depth and really really catch you in the heart-strings? Honestly I sobbed myself silly. You need to cry but never can unless something else pushes you to? Go for this game. Its beautiful. The gameplay is wonderful, but the story alone is worth every bit.
