Great and unique narrative idea, but the game is severly undercooked. I can handle low budget janky gameplay. I can handle waiting until big robots slowly walk towards me because the game doesn't allow me to increase turn speed. I can handle sharp difficulty spikes and occasionally ridiculous map design. But when I finised a mission, the game crashed and I had to restart the chapter, I simply ragequit. Technically I can recommend it if you're extremely patient and understanding. Otherwise skip.
I could not get this to play correctly on Steam deck, which is a shame because this is a great game that is fantastic to play through 2 or 3 times. Character customization is fun and deep, plus the randomization of your team as you climb the tower really pushes you to learn and play all the characters. If there are updates that make this game playable on Steam deck then I’ll happily switch my review but it has to be not recommended for now.
extremely low-effort port, this game has no graphics settings such as v-sync, and screen tearing is extremely jarring and occurs literally every 5 seconds or more. the visuals themselves are very underwhelming, with amateurish use of what looks like live2d or something similar. the tutorial is awful, there's no explanation for how to play, i had to restart because my character just wouldn't do anything. so only buy this game if you're headache-proof lol
Jogo bem divertido!
oh oui
Look, I liked the game but I also have not a single positive thing to say about it. Enemy turns take too long and animations are not skippable, you have to watch them stand there if they pass or move, but from your characters point of view, so if there's a wall in the middle, you will stare to that wall. Characters are pretty one note. There are a couple of nice songs, but enemy turns have one and only one track that plays the whole game and cuts every level theme. The stat (sanity) to use skills feels unbalanced, it takes too much to use some skills so you never do (yes you can refill it with items but it's a bother). Enemies also have that, making them dazed and vulnerable when depleted... only that it nevers comes into play because they die before depleting it. The main gimmick is you have to kill one of your teammates when progressing a chapter because they can be traitors. So there's no attatchment to any of them or planning on what team to use because you get to randomly dispose of them. This is one of those I wish I could give a middle rating, kinda mediocre but not to the point of being offensive. You can have some fun.
Absolutely phenomenal premise, and it was executed well, too! The characters were also really well done, and it's actually VERY hard to tell who is the "werewolf" no matter who it ends up being during a run.
An interesting JRPG. Short, not a lot of story, nothing deep or that'll challenge your world view. Good combat system, intricate.
I just really like the genre of games where youre forced to kill off your companions as the game goes along, wish the new game + was a bit better though.
