Kitten'd

Fun game on day one of early access. I played it on a desktop and not on VR so it was a little more difficult to perform some of the actions. The alarm clocks freaked me out and I struggled to catch them when they were whizzing around the room! Up to stage 4 so far and the only bug I've run into is having the menu screen stop working when I loaded 40 kittens into my room.

It's a cat management game. You have to manage the cats to make sure they stay happy. Then theres the second free play mode where you can just play with your cats. Update: yes it does get better once you unlock more toys. :) I still recommend it if youre like me and you like virtual pet games, this is one of the better ones. I would like to see more objectives in the free play mode. It's a little bit buggy but it's early access and the cats are adorable especially after you turn on fur shading.

Slightly disappointed that this game says it supports sitting, standing and room scale but gives you no way to move around other than physically moving. I read a reply to one of the comments saying it's of the most demanded features and it'll be coming, but since a seated or standing user cannot play as fully as a free roaming player seated and standing should be removed from the play area listings. Sure you can grab things from a distance, but try putting things in a cupboard... Overall it seems OK, but the experience is hindered by feeling stuck in one place.

So cute, so irresistible, so much...terror. I can only play this game in short increments because it eventually makes me puke rainbows. But those increments are incredibly entertaining.

A highly enjoyable game. You can tell a lot of love went into this game and the developer took feedback and used it when adding new features etc. Its been pretty quiet over recent months, so it would be nice to have an update from the developer once in a while on what they are now working on. The store page really summarises the aim of the game, so I honestly don't feel the need to go into much detail on this review as the info is already available to you. Honestly, the game is worth getting, its decent fun, and, after cleaning your own cats turds up throughout the day, you can relax in VR and clean up some more. My only wish is that we could name our kittens what we want, and not have it use our steam friends names.

This game is amazing and deserves to be played by everyone and everything, living or non-living alike... On a serious (as can be) note though, this game is adorable. It is just so adorable that it makes me want to cry. Everything related to kittens is captured perfectly, from their squeaky mews to their deep purrs to their adorable (and deadly!) snarls to even the fact that those kittens are absolute demons that you have to take care of, in order to make sure they don't annihilate your house (or an entire city). There are a few things that I think could be improved, and most of them are UI related. The most notable one being that the game doesn't have an actual pause option. When you pull up the menu the time still goes on, which can make the small feline chaos seem extremely intimidating at times. Another thing is that while it is true that the game is intended to be played with VR and that it won't be the same without it, it is still playable and quite fun. It seems that the only things that you'll be missing out on are the petting animations, which are admittedly so adorable. I haven't tried the VR, and will probably update this review if I ever get to try it out as intended. Please, play this game. It is a beautiful and precious piece of gem that deserves to be played. Also, take care and stay hydrated as always! Note from 2026: Please please PLEASE as my only request, allow for a second litterbox to be placed or maybe make an upgrade for the current one that makes it multi-use. I know chaos is a part of the game, but keeping up with the litterbox even with like three or four kittens is a nightmare, more than that and you won't have enough stain remover to get rid of the stains, ever. Also very small edits to the original review, but it still stands!
