Lost Civilization

The game this is originally based on is not one of the best point and click adventure games. It has major pacing issues. This game doesn't have that same issue at all, because it is much shorter. However, the overall gameplay and art that was reworked feels very disjointed. It took less than 3 hours to complete and neither the backgrounds (which were a lot better 10 years prior) nor the hidden object scenes (often object placing, not finding) were very fun. There are hundreds of other hidden object games to get your fix. Skip this one.

I wanted to like this game. But I just had a blue screen because of it. Yes, picking up and object in the alley "too fast" made the game freeze and a blue screen appear which I havent seen in 8 years!. First things first. I liked the story so far, nothing too complicated and the puzzles were too easy despite having the difficulty set in Expert, the game offer no challenge but I thought I could play it just to pass some time and while relaxing from studying... guess what? I had to delete my save at least 2 times because: I misclicked and quit the sneaking minigame at the same time I finished it thus locking me forever. When I started again I scared away the pigeons before talking to the old man on the bench and thus his dialogue was locked. The Blue Screen was the third strike. I would probably finish the game in the future but I cant recommend it in the state it is and I doubt it will ever get fixed.

Lost Civilization ist eine Mischung aus Point-and-Click sowie Wimmelbildspiel. Wer der englischen Sprache nicht so mächtig ist, wird für dieses Spiel einen Übersetzer benötigen, gerade für die Wimmelbildszenen. Grafisch gesehen bewegt sich das Spiel im gutem Mitteklassefeld,..typische Grafik für ein Wimmelbild- oder Point-and-Click Spiel, dagegen kann man nichts sagen. Spielerisch gesehen ist das Spiel vor allem viel zu leicht, die Rätsel sind logisch, aber nichts für Veteranen von Adventure oder ähnlichen Spielen. Selbst auf dem schwersten Schwierigkeitsgrad fühlt man sich als würde man ein bekanntes Spiel zum x-ten mal durchspielen, da die Rätsel und Wimmelbildszenen keinerlei Herausforderung darstellen. Größtes Manko ist jedoch die Geschichte. Diese könnte von Indiana Jones geklaut sein. Hmm mal überlegen,..Archäologie, Nazis, ein großes Geheimnis einer untergegangenen Kultur,...Menschen müssen wegen diesem Geheimnis sterben,...kommt einem sehr bekannt vor und ist sehr schlecht in diesem Spiel umgesetzt. Das ganze Spiel spielte sich für mich wie ein langatmiges Tennismatch, da weder das Spiel an sich noch die Story mich wirklich fesseln konnten. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass das Spiel keine Vollkatastrophe ist, spielerisch macht es eigentlich alles richtig, es ist eben nur zu leicht. Von der Story her, mal abgesehen davon, dass diese "kopiert" wurde,.... naja inszeniert ist das ganze nun nicht auf einem hohem Level, einige Passagen der Erzählung sind zudem sehr öde animiert, tauchen aber leider sehr häufig auf. Alles in allem ein Spiel was "okay" ist,...mehr aber nicht, daher von mir auch eine negative Bewertung.

This game has nothing special, just hidden objects. The game only took me 4 hours to finish as I played this game slow, the story is kind of short. It may take you less than 4 hours to finish. The only puzzle I used "skip" function to skip was the last one which you supposed to rearrange the gem to the proper place. The explanation lacks of detail. Gems are overlagged. Gem cannot move to a empty space. I don't know if it is a bug. The only way you get this game is from a bundle, otherwise, don't waste your money.

Pokud si chcete užít vynikající atmosféru a příběh, sáhněte po originální verzi hry NiBiRu: Posel Bohů z roku z roku 2005. Je to klasický point and click adventura od tvůrců legendárního Posla smrti. Tenhle zbytečný a zpackaný "hidden object" klon s názvem Lost Civilization ničí vše, co původní hra nabízí. Nulová atmosféra, otřesný hudební doprovod, pouze částečný dabing, pouze anglická lokalizace a co víc, hraje se to hůř a i to hůř vypadá. I když hra stojí jen pár korun, tak musím říct, vyhněte se jí obloukem. Naopak originální NiBiRu vřele doporučuji.

It's not really great, but its ok to kill a few hours. The puzzles and all are really easy even on hardest difficulty. The biggest problem in finding things is the light beaming out of a picture that is blinding you and making things harder to see.

My first ever hidden object game played. My first impressions are, over too fast, plot that balloons rapidly as a consequence, non-nonsensical object match gameplay at times, and your knowledge of english names for items will be tested. Also, the game's title is an absolute bait, we see nothing interesting from the said "Lost civilization" beyond your typical puzzles which, tbh, leave much to desire. I'm not impressed, so I assume hidden object enthusiast wont be either. If I were you, I'd look for something with better store reviews, but can't say I didn't enjoy this little experience (2.5h for a full play through).

Ich kann das Spiel vor allem Beginner von HO Games empfehlen. Die Rätsel sind nicht zu schwer und die HO sind anspruchsvoll. Die Unterhaltungen finden nur einseitig statt, was dem Spiel die Ganzheit zerstört und ehr schadet. Es gibt Strafen für zuviel klicken bei den HO.

Schönes Wimmelbildspiel, etwas kurz. Gibt es dafür aber sehr günstig. 4:3 Bildformat, nur auf englisch. Die Geschichte ist gut, die Sprache sehr verständlich. Mit Maus und 55" TV perfekt für einen schönen gemeinsamen Rätselabend. Läuft perfekt auf dem Steamdeck (Bluetooth-Maus & TV).

Um dos melhores, se não o melhor jogo de point-and-click que existe, ele é 100% bem construído, a historia pode ser clichê no inicio mas o jogo te pega ao seguir do caminho, atmosfera inacreditável, lugares fantásticos, design rebuscado, personagens super interessantes. 10/10
