Embark on an epic journey into the heart of the Great Maze of Bardo, a place where few have ventured—and none have returned. Within the Great Maze, you’ll find lurking dangers, hidden treasures, and new challenges at every turn. Can you navigate its depths and escape, or will you become trapped forever?
This game is free to play but includes In-App Purchases to aid your journey. The Save Sword Inventory item grants unlimited saves, making it easier to complete the game. While save swords can be found within the Great Maze, they are rare.
The Lost City of Bardo is a vast open-world adventure game. The Great Maze is so immense that you could wander for years before finding your way out! To grasp its true immensity, here’s a zoomed-out view from one corner of the Great Maze:
Along the way, you’ll encounter sources of wisdom, valuable allies, and powerful potions to aid your journey. The game’s built-in guide will let you know your current task, and scattered throughout the maze, special devices will help you overcome obstacles and uncover new paths. Even with these tools, the sheer scale of the Great Maze is overwhelming.
The game’s task system will always inform you of what you need to do next. Completing these also unlocks corresponding Achievements. Each task prepares you for the next, and although tasks can be completed out of order, you will always know what you need to accomplish to finish the game.
The Game has four stages:
The first stage of the game focuses on preparing for The Arena. During this phase, you will learn essential skills, including how to gather resources and use various devices within the Great Maze. You will discover how to collect and create crystals, utilize gold and diamonds, cultivate special mushrooms, and craft powerful potions!
Once you enter The Arena, you’ll face nine grueling levels that will test everything you’ve learned so far. Conquering The Arena will reward you with a powerful weapon—the Plasma Gun—which is key to progressing further in your quest.
In this stage, you’ll need to gather additional resources, primarily gold, and journey to the center of the Great Maze. It may sound daunting, but don’t worry—you now have the Plasma Gun and a new ally to help guide you!
This is one of the most challenging stages of the game. Everything you’ve done so far has been preparation for this moment: a journey to each corner of the Great Maze. Here, you must face the three great monsters of Bardo and return victorious, having gathered the four Great Crystals.
The Monster of the East
In the far eastern reaches of the Great Maze dwells a massive, eight-legged creature known only as Shadow. Her hunger is insatiable, and the skulls of her victims litter the ground. No one has ever seen her—only her shadow. And by then, it’s already too late…
The Monster of the West
In the westernmost reaches of the Great Maze lurks a dreaded beast known as the Kraken. Its tentacles rise from the inky depths beneath your feet, striking with lightning speed. Only when every last one has been severed will it reveal its hidden treasure. But navigating this place is no easy feat—traps and obstacles lie in wait at every turn, and the slightest misstep will send you plummeting into the abyss below!
The Monster of the North
In the northernmost reaches of the Great Maze dwells a legendary beast without a name. He resides in a vast abyss, guarding a great treasure. This foe cannot be defeated—but he can be outwitted, if you are quick enough! The Great Crystal he protects is the key to unlocking the final phase of your adventure.
With the four Great Crystals in your possession, the final challenge awaits. The Great Maze has tested your skill, endurance, and wit— you are ready uncover the final secrets of Bardo!
