About
It all started with the accident... Marty Stu lost his family and only friend, yet he was granted a second life by Nya, the god of reincarnation, as a prince in the Kingdom of Hero in a world of sword and sorcery.
But happily-ever-after comes with Daemon Sultan Azathoth, naturally, and a tough decision to make. When Marty finally realizes life is never that easy, he also learns that something is unspeakably wrong...

Marty Stu
An anime geek, Marty has never talked to a girl other than his mother. He always hangs out with his one and only friend and dreams of becoming the hero in the world of sword and sorcery.

Cultist
The apostle of Daemon Sultan Azathoth, Cultist was abandoned as a new-born and raised by the undead. Driven by cynicism, he attempts to awaken Azathoth to destroy the world of sword and sorcery.
“Paradise? You mean this living hell?”
“My place f***ing disappeared long ago!”

Nya
God of reincarnation, Nya appears as a beautiful naked girl who talks in a casual yet mysterious way. Besides, Nya also communicates with zero mouth movement, just like a ventriloquist.
“I may be the one in my birthday suit, but I'll make sure you feel like it's your birthday, every day!"
“May god be with you. Ciao!”
A short yet solid meta JRPG
Have you ever thought about why there are treasure chests on the roadside? And why do monsters drop gold coins? Loser Reborn is a JRPG parody that pokes fun at the genre while also exploring what makes a game a JRPG.

Tactical turn-based combats without the grind
No enemy will grossly overpower you in this game, but to fight you not only have to know the skills of every class but also learn their attributes and action patterns. The good news is, though, that no grinding or item farming is needed in any level of Loser Reborn.

Something is unspeakably wrong with the world...
Are those slimes crying out strangely really slimes? And what is the big blue thing in the storehouse? After revealing the unspeakable secret of the world, which one of the three endings will you choose?

I can tell that the developer of this game put in so much love and effort into this game. This short, yet extremely difficult rpg game is basically inspired by the isekai trope of magically teleporting the player into a fantasy world on the brink of annihilation. There are basically three classes: Knight, Mage, and Rogue. The Knight specializes in tanking for his team mates, the Mage uses spells, and the Rogue is fast and focuses on debuffs. The goal of your mission is to defeat the Dark Lord who is threatening to destroy the entire kingdom or world thing. You are assisted by your [strike]harem[/strike] party of brave heroes to defeat him. Unfortunately, there are some things that really make your mission hard. You are supposed to reach the final boss in a set number of days, which is around like 3. Healing items are limited even in normal difficulty and resting, which revives dead party members, takes up a day and further brings the deadline closer. The enemies have a fair chance of ganging up on a party member and killing them quickly, thus usually forcing you to replace her with a different one from a limited cast. This makes it so that grinding a specific party difficult and prevent you from overleveling. I will admit the positives of the game such as the art style and the battle music made the experience more bearable. I honestly would have bought those if they were available. The story starts off simple, but I actually love the twist near the end that really threw me off because I was too busy trying to grind. The sometimes weird humor made me chuckle at times which I also appreciate in a game I found harder than fighting a headless in Sekiro. tl;dr This rpg game is tough in that it gives you a deadline, limited healing/revives, and gives you a cast of rather suboptimal members. The art is fabulous, music is banger, story is decent, and writing is often witty. I can only recommend this game if you really enjoy optimizing a rather limited set and a big challenge in a difficult rpg game otherwise you really shouldn't get this game.

This game is very short but cute to get it on sale. If you are playing normal or easy you should enjoy the game a lot it's when you try it on hard do you want to pull your hair out. Max level is 20 and the last several bosses on hard is so rng heavy it's not funny. They do the same heavy attacks over and over again and start off with a free turn at the beginning of battle which puts its heavily in thier favor. Grind up on gold as much as possible cause after the 1st 3 bosses you can no longer farm it and they dont give you remotely enough to gear up more then 2 of the 3 people in your party and thats not including the 4 in reserve. Overall i really enjoyed the short storyline and if you dont play it on hard you should enjoy it a lot as well.
It's a fun, bite sized game. I finished it twice to see all three endings, and that took me 2.7 hours.
It's small, the art is fine, the content and music are meh, but the balance is very whacky. Intentionally? I know it's also a parody but it wasn't very funny. Except this maybe? https://i.imgur.com/AgtrkqB.png 1st time normal difficulty: 2knights 1wizzard - restoring mana/health was INSANELY grindy and I could only repeat 1 type of mob per floor, so I was repeating the same 3 mobs for HOURS to make any progress with coins > gear. Most bosses were easier/fairer than the normal mobs. After maxing out, the the party became immortal and able to 1-shot. 2nd time on easy/hard: 3crit characters without armor, everything 1-shot, and I could exactly afford new weapons without grind Some Bugs/Issues I encountered: - the F12 key for steam screenshots won't work, as well as tossing the player back into main menu - when the game is not focused aka tabbed out of, actions will still be perceived in game... - if the main character is stunned (aka out of mana), the party will not regain mana from victory cry balance: why stay characters stunned even if mana is refilled and fights are won after that - first hit and crit are ridicously strong while sustain/heal is too expensive / grindy - normal difficulty, main char (warrior) takes more damage from same attacks with same/better gear than warrior party member - steam achievement (ed1 male ver) did not unlock after normal difficulty finish while using F1 window sizes it did however, unlock after I tried a game restart AND ctrl + enter (full screen) AND hard mode - using difficulty swap, the max. number of mugs can be exceeded in hard, but it doesn't change gameplay ...yet as pointed out in the discussion page, the same trick can jumpstart gold and xp gain for mob grinding - when picking a TOO LONG name the final dialogues can glitch out - when picking female protagonist, there are minor gender inconsistencies (early and final dialogues) - when picking female protag. the ending becomes insonsistent, as she cannot pass on the hero's bloodline ...or can she xD [Edit: In F1 Menu there are also 3 keys that don't do anything + very limited controls menu.]
<-- Review written for 3 Point Play -->
And with this one, we're closing with the Physical Exorcism series (for now). Loser Reborn is a spin-off yet canon part of the Physical Exorcism series, a trilogy (so far) of games which vary quite differently from each other:

First game in the series is Case 00: The Cannibal Boy, and that one is a short VN featuring three friends talking about urban legends.
Second game in the series is Physical Exorcism: Case 01, that one being a short RPG Maker game dealing with two of the three friends from the previous game dealing with a ghost.
Third game in the series is Case 02: Paranormal Evil, and that one is a dice-based survival horror game with RPG elements.
Taking that in mind, Loser Reborn is a short RPG (This is a recurring theme in these games, as you can finish each of them in like 1 hour) dealing with a dude that got isekai'd into a sword and sorcery world with the almighty power of being able to pat girls in the head and get them to instantly fall in love with him. With this power, you must save the world, destroying the Demon Sultan. As for the game, I really liked the artstyle. They change the artstyles for each and every single one of the games, and you'll surely see that if you play the other ones. This has my favorite artstyle out of the 4 games I played. It is kinda unforgiving, even on easy difficulty, you'll die a lot until you can figure the proper cheese you need to progress through the game:
You need to be a Wizard from the get-go, and get Wizard Girl and Rogue, as they're faster, and will allow you to one-shot enemies before they can attack you in most situations. Knights and Samurais are a liability, as they'll surely die tanking AoE spells (and you only have two chances of reviving your characters).
Overall, it's a short, charming little game with some humor, and it ties nicely into the next game. You're better off not changing the character's name, btw. As with the other games, I somehow wish they were a bit longer, and more fleshed out, as there are a lot of possibilities with a game like this, but then again, they don't overstay their welcome, and give you a nice experience in a short time for the business-concious individuals of today. Time is money fellas, and someday we'll all end up biting the dust... thus, when we're confronted by the God of Gaming, would it be better to say you spent like 500 hours playing a JRPG or to say you managed to play 4 games in like 5 hours? I wouldn't know, but I could say I did the second thing.
