genuinely one of the worst games ive ever played when it comes to care from the developers to player experience, ignoring the absolutely disgustingly ♥♥♥♥ design of the multiplayer and raiding mechanics, the fact that when closed post multiplayer session, you get thrown into the chaos where you left instead of in spawn point, and cant use a return to save point, just makes every time i log into a habit of accepting my death and having to replay at least 10 minutes of gameplay for 0 reason, that with the fact that the lock on system is absolutely horrendous and bugged, half of the spells you have early game miss on account of enemies just walking, or get blocked by the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrain design, and having 0 explanation for melee combat combos and parries and such, just makes playing this game feel like im playing elden ring if the developers tried to lobotomized me.
Poziom soulsów. Czekam na drugą część.

I tried Lords of the Fallen when it first came out, but I was put off by the gameplay being generally unpolished. I forgot about it for a while until the sequel was announced, which looks so damn good I decided to give the first another chance. I'm now on my fourth playthrough. I am genuinely impressed with how much the devs have listened to feedback and improved the game. It is now a great Soulslike with everything I love about the genre: tight combat, excellent variety of weapons and spells, and builds, builds, builds! The addition of unlockable classes enhances the replayability even more. I only have two major gripes. Enemy variety is a well-known issue, and while I don't think it hampers the enjoyment too much, it's still noteworthy. My biggest annoyance are the ambushes. Every Souls game has them, but nowhere near this many. If enemies aren't waiting behind corners waiting to shove you off a ledge, then they're sneaking up behind you with little to no audio cues to alert you. It gets very, very old. Even still, I highly recommend Lords of the Fallen, and I'm very excited for the sequel!
Excellent concept and aesthetics, but the actual minute to minute gameplay is horrendous. Combat feels floaty, enemies performing grab attacks will rocket across the floor to reach you, and unlocking an early door will have you face enemies you've already squared up with, but now they've had their stats jacked because you're considered in a more "mid-game area". Many of the same issues that the original Lords of the Fallen are here yet again. Sigh. 10/10 aesthetics 3/10 combat
