good game with a decent story. The atmosphere, visuals and combat is great, and the boss fights are fun, although way too easy. My biggest complaint is the level design. There's far too much backtracking, and the game does a poor job of guiding you. I got stuck several times because I'd hit a dead end, only to realize I had to return to an area from hours earlier to open a door and continue. Enemy variety also becomes very repetitive, and the Umbral mechanic, while interesting, ends up making exploration feel very tedious. Overall I enjoyed the game, and I would recommend trying it out, but the backtracking and confusing progression keep it from being one of the best soulslikes for me.
I really enjoyed this game. Its biggest strength is the design, I absolutely love all the armor and weapons, not to mention the environments, and I found the bossfights to be incredibly polished too. Moving between two worlds with the lantern, entering the Umbral realm, often gives you multiple ways to explore a single area, making exploration feel far less monotonous. I played through the game with shared progression with a friend and enjoyed every single minute of it; I couldn't recommend it more. Finally, a souls-like that steps away from the classic copy-paste formula and feels like it wants to move in its own direction, taking those famous souls mechanics but reinventing them at the same time.
Fun souls like i really enjoyed the co-op
nice game)
I am a souls-like fan and I enjoyed it. I played it in 2026 and it ran smoothly.
Peak
This game had a darker setting than Elden Ring and the Umbral world genuinely scared me but then I beat the game now playing with random enemies and loot and working my way up to a no death run. It's been very fun going from zero to Hero
Whoever designed Folard I hope you find yourself in the same situation in a dark alley at night.
