This was my first roguelike game.
A fun, challenging little roguelike that is deeper than it first appears. Simple but clever systems and zero cruft.
Funky little rogue-like with a brutal random generator. I've played the game for a while now and still I mostly die on the first level. I mean, there's a fair amount of tactics involved, but if you get a bad hand of cards, there is absolutely nothing you can do. While I love a good challenge, the game mostly just feels unfair. That said, Loot Rascals is still pretty fun played in short one game sessions - Just don't expect to get anywhere as it all boils down to plain old luck.
i donut remember buying this game, i must have done it during one of my "gaming blackouts" which usually involve illegal amoiunts of gaming and a pile of unknown corpses the next day
So, I broke my foot this week and decided to pick this up while recuperating and so glad I did. The Spelunky Showlike (now Eggplant: The Secret Lives of Games) podcast were always raving about this game. Figuring out the nuances of what makes this game tick has been the highlight of my week. I've struggled just to get to World 3 a handful of times only to die quickly. Yeah, it's a hard game. Yeah, there's some luck involved. But, having the mystery in front of me of what weird things the developers put in the future worlds keeps me plugging away. On a side note, there isn't a way to save during a run which people complain about in the reviews/comments. I understand where they're coming from, but at the same time, I like the idea that when I sit down with the game, you're committed to it. Your run might last 10 minutes or 45+ minutes, but you're in for the haul. Highly recommended. Thanks!
Fun for a few hours but lacks enough content to really sink your teeth into. The devs have a really solid rogue game on their hands if they ever decided to expand upon it and improve some of the UI and gameplay elements that drag the game down. Ultimately this game feels like a very long demo and I had a lot of fun playing it.

Somehow, I never felt like I was achieving anything when playing this game.
Loot Rascals me surpreendeu bastante.
