"Look Mum No Computer" is a nice twin-stick shooter with a lot of personality. Even though I am not a fan of synth and not particularly into this kind of music, you can tell this is a labor of love. I like the art direction and the little videos of electronic workshop that pop up here and there! The gameplay is pretty basic, you move around and you shoot stuff. The neat part is that you can customize your backpack/weapon with different synth parts and pedals you unlock as you complete quests, and changing weapons also changes the sound of the music. A very nice thing! Overall the game is probably a bit repetitive and some stages feel more interesting that others (the fridge for instance was too big for its own good). I am still less than a halfway through it all, but it is a fun time! ================================ Small update now that I've reached the end: as I said, the game tends to be a bit repetitive with the same missions taking place in every stage, and not enough enemy variety. Unfortunately it also become a bit of a chore to farm the materials needed to upgrade your weapons, and enemies have a huge amount of health point when you get closer to the end. I've read they also simplified the final boss, and thank god because it took me 11 minutes of almost uninterrupted shooting at it to finally get rid of it! I maintain the positive review because there are some nice things in there, but I feel the game would have benefited a lot to be shorter and with more enemy and mission variety as it got a bit tedious the closer I got to the end credits.
