About

is a high-skill, 3D sci-fi side-scroller built around precision shooting, skill expression and tactical decision-making under pressure.
It is a fast-paced, mouse-and-keyboard-only, This game does not scale itself to the player.
Combat is dense and deliberate. Enemies don’t wait their turn, don’t miss on purpose, and don’t forgive mistakes. They will take the shot when it’s there.
Those Angry Droids are on a mission.
High-speed movement with constant pressure
Encounters built around pattern recognition, creativity, timing, and execution
No aim assist, no comfort systems, no safety rails
Designed for PC players who miss uncompromising controls
Beyond combat, the game blends action-adventure elements like hacking systems, mastering the use of tricks and combos to survive hostile environments.
Many quit early.
Some games survive because they adapt to players.
This one survived because a few players adapted to it.

WHY DO I HAVE THIS AND WHY DO I HAVE 13HOURS ON IT?
1/10 one more game to hide in my library
Hey everyone and this is my review about the game! This is a Side scrolling platform game. A Friendly message from me to you. People that suffer from Epilespy may be affected at the start of the game (once you load to the menu). Second friendly message from me to you. Ignore this game and search for a better one.
Interface/Menu/Settings

Video Settings information.

There are some resolution sizes available.
You can toggle Bloom or shadow effect. (Green letters for on, white for off)
There is only windowed mode (Unless you press Alt+Enter).
There are some graphic details available. (Very low - Fantastic)
There is no color blind mode.

Volume Settings information.

You are able to toggle the music.
You are not able to change the sound volume and you can't toggle this off either.
There is only a Master volume slide bar available.

Keyboard Controls / Controller / VR Information.

You are not able to change your keyboard controls.
There is no mouse sensitivity.
There is no controller support.
There is no VR support.

Miscellaneous Information.

The difficulty changes on a level. The controls and patience are your true difficulty.
There is only an English language available.
There are 3 save slots available, you can change the file settings at "load".
The (main) menu is a big mess.
The mouse cursor will fly off your screen in windowed mode. Making it harder to click on something.

About the game.
So this game is pretty problematic on the moment you have launched it up and progresses as you play. As stated on the top of this review, you will encounter flashy and annoying images as soon as you hit the main menu. Yes this will keep happening each time you are launching your game. The flashy and unnecessary images last for about 3 seconds before you are send into a broken main menu. While playing in windowed mode, your mouse cursor may fly off the screen and making your game inactive if you click on something. However your game will still look up or down making it harder to click on certain menu buttons After you are used to the whole main menu thing.. You MAY have a difficult time to find the start up your game. Click on the start button and then select "Hack save 1"... Yeah it's very unclear to start up the game it took me about 5 minutes to figure it out. Once your game is loaded, you will be introduced with some messages which you can skip each time. You will be in some training grounds or some kind of tutorial level to get the hang of the controls. But here it comes. Each time you are approaching of something new, let's say "How to open a door" or "How to sprint". You will receive a message for about 3 seconds and your game will start to stutter(Yes i am playing on the lowest graphical detail too). It would have been better off to freeze the entire game for a bit instead of this slow-mo movement. Yes this will happen 5+ times. Later when you are about to hack something.. it actually wants you to do some math.. yes i am not kidding and you will need to do this in order to do shut down a firewall or security. The level design is unappealing and the some of the background details are poorly cropped together which you can easily see on the stones on the lowest detail( You can even see it on the highest detail) and some of them look stretched like thin lines too. It honestly looks like an image has been ripped off from google images and tried to make it look good in blender but failed. Let's not even start about the overcomplexed controls and basic sound effects. Yes this game is made by unity.. and no I'm not surprised that this game is soo terrible. There are checkpoints that you need to activate manually and don't worry if you have forget one. You will be send back to the latest one that you didn't forget..
(Shorter) in-game Information.

There are no cutscenes.
Graphics are okay... to say the least... Very least...
You can pause the game.
Level design is unappealing.
Start the game by selecting "start -> Hack save file"(which only tells you about restart and delete save file).
Background details are cropped together. Making it look uglier if you pay attention to it.
Controls are harder than it should be.
Options ingame can be found by pressing esc. Which is a better menu than back at the main menu.
Manually pressed checkpoints.
Enemy robots will do explosion damage upon death.

Miscellaneous Information.

The game is waaaay too overpriced. Do not buy this game even with a discount. Only play this game for free(and even then you regret playing)!
The game has steamcards.

Other things.
I don't really have to explain a single word again about this word but i will keep it short. From the moment you have started up your game until you have stopped.. You will encounter and face many issues. Don't even think about buying this game. Don't even think about playing it for free. At the beginning of the game you will see a message that says "We only use 10% of our brain". This game proves it had trouble hitting the 5% mark during the development. i doubt it even came that far... Everything in this game is bad.. i can't even find a good thing about this game. Steam cards? Do you even see yourself buying this game for 5+ bucks for 3-5 cent cards?
Reviews are always uploaded if i have at least played for 2 hours or more. Unless the game is really garbage and doesn't deserve the 2H limit.
------------------- I Give this game a 1/10
Não recomendo a compra sobre nenhuma hipótese. O jogo não vale nem o tempo que você pode perder instalando, menu totalmente confuso e não intuitivo, gameplay quebrado e confuso, e falta de qualidade em todos os aspectos em geral. -------------------------------- I do not recommend buying on any hypothesis. The game is not worth even the time you can lose installing, totally confusing and non-intuitive menu, broken and confused gameplay, and lack of quality in all aspects in general.

CortexGear: AngryDroids is a disappointing game that fails to deliver on its promises. The gameplay is simplistic and repetitive, with little variation from level to level. The graphics are subpar, with poorly rendered environments and character designs that lack detail or personality. The game also suffers from a lack of polish, with buggy animations and awkward controls that make it more frustrating than engaging. The music and sound effects are forgettable at best, and the voice acting is amateurish and grating. Furthermore, the story and characters in CortexGear: AngryDroids are underdeveloped and uninteresting. The plot is thin and predictable, offering little in the way of narrative depth or nuance. The characters lack personality and fail to engage the player in any meaningful way. The game also suffers from a lack of replayability, with no real incentive to revisit completed levels or play through the game again. Overall, CortexGear: AngryDroids is a forgettable and lackluster game that fails to stand out in a crowded market.
This game is so bad, I honestly don't have the words to describe it.
CortexGear: AngryDroids is a 3D rendered 2D retro platformer, but it's also got a significant distinction. I've reviewed over 10,000 games on Steam, most of them quite bad. I've seen some truly awful games, too, and of those, this is truly one of the worst games to ever plague Steam and worsen gaming simply by existing. It is possible this was made badly on purpose, but I think, perhaps more disturbingly, that this was some kind of genuine attempt to make a game. Someone out there thought it would be acceptable to publish something like this. May god have mercy on our souls. To describe the game, probably the impression I got from the artwork, video and audio is that this simulates what it would be like to have severe mental illness and also being on a bad acid trip at the same time. And, of course, the gameplay itself is no better, it's a szhizophrenic mess trying to be a kind of twin stick shooter/platformer hybrid. I don't know if the assets are stock assets here, but they are uncredited. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game assets are far from bleeding edge, with lowish polygon counts and somewhat low resolution textures, making this look like it's at least 10 years old. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks poor in comparison to more professionally produced games as a result of their decisions. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. But, much more startling, the game resolution is only available in 2:1 aspect ratios, capping out at 1920x960p. NOBODY owns a gaming monitor that's 2:1 resolution. NOBODY. Again, we are posed with the perplexing question... did the developer do this on purpose, choose resolutions that nobody ever uses? Or did they genuinely not understand that almost everyone is gaming on 16:9 aspect ratio displays since 2006? Either answer is simply disturbing. Bewilderingly, the game doesn't include proper audio controls, so you can't turn off the annoying background music, you'll need to alt+tab out and stop the music using the Windows sound mixer. This is obviously not okay and it's unclear why the developers chose not to include this basic feature. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. You're forced to sign a highly questionable yet legally unenforceable End User License Agreement... for such a relatively low effort, low quality game this comes across more as a delusion of grandeur than anything else. This agreement includes questionable requirements that may attempt to revoke consumer law protections that gamers expect to have, which is also highly problematic. Developers must learn they are here to serve gamers, not control them. I had my cat walk over the keyboard while the EULA was displaying, which fixed that problem for me. CortexGear: AngryDroids has the cash grab price of $6 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $6 asking price for this game could get you games like "The Forest", "Mass Effect 3" or "Rainbow 6 Siege". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. There's also thousands of free, superior quality games on Steam.
