This remastered version of Ice Rose added what was needed for the original game. Based loosely on the tale of The Snow Queen, the story starts with Edward, who heads to Rosemount after finding a mysterious mirror shard; something is calling him to uncover the secret of the snow-covered city. You, as his wife, decided to look for your husband, who hasn't returned for a while. The moment you step into the village, the snow queen threatens you that if you don't leave, she'll cover the whole world in snow. Of course, you'll never give up and uncover all the secrets of Rosemount city. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752279798 The remastered artwork is stunning; the color scheme and details are beautiful. The original was great as it is, but this version is better, especially after they added the voice-overs; it doesn't feel empty at all, and the fast-travel map reduced the backtracking, which was a big issue in the original game. The remastered version is more enjoyable. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752279315 I like the soundtracks, although they are limited and cut off when you move from one scene to another, and the tunes are beautiful and fit the atmosphere. The hidden-object scenes are not bad, but they feel more like clutter than the actual stuff you'd find in the places you are visiting. The puzzles, however, are well-made, and some require thought and take time to solve. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3752279911 Pros: +Beautiful detailed artwork and locations. +Good story. +Nice soundtracks. +Variety of puzzles. +Good journal. +Collectables (Two types) +Good voice-overs. +Fast traveling map. +Multiple hidden objects scene (Each of them you visit twice) +In-game strategy guide. +Bonus Chapter. Cons -No Steam achievements. (There are in-game achievements) I love this remastered, enjoyed it so much. Any HOG lover must try it out, even if you played the original; this one is much better. A very beautiful game indeed. The story line is absorbing and the bonus chapter takes up where the main story leaves off. Some unusual mini-games that give this game all the more pleasure to play. Excellent job to all of the people who put this fantastic game together. I will be indeed looking for more of your games for my library. Thanx
this game is 1000000000000000/10 like bro buy it now
The Living Legends is a collection of really nice puzzle games, based on old fairy tales, re-imagining and continuing their stories. Another similarity between them is that the antagonist always turns everything to winter, and you must defeat it, restoring normal weather. This game is based on The Snow Queen by Andersen and it is my favourite of the three. The graphics are really nice; some people may say it's kitsch, but whatever, I loved the visuals, especially when a region turned from winter to autumn colours. The puzzles are good and challenging, but not too extreme. A bonus chapter is available, and in the end you can replay the puzzles or hidden object games of choice. Overall I loved it and I can recommend it to everyone.
This is Livings Legends #1, a classic hidden-object game brought up to modern standards. It's a straightforward expression of the genre with point-and-click adventuring, puzzle mini-games (easy to moderate difficulty), and of course hidden-object scenes. There are no groundbreaking mechanics, just solid gameplay. The story is not especially interesting but it serves the game well enough. The original version is available on Steam in the Frozen Fear Collection and, if we're honest, this remastered version plays identically. If you've already completed the original then you don't really need to play this one, but I think it's a good enough game to warrant a replay, and so you might as well play this nicer version.
A great game to play during the cold days of autumn / winter. Players who like the cold seasons, the fantasy genre, the Rosicrucian societies and roses in general will be pleased with this point & click game. You play as a female protagonist who embarks on this wintery journey to find her beloved. As the adventure unfolds you will come to know the other characters' stories, especially the motifs behind the villains' actions and the surprising personal weaknesses that can lead to social disaster. A mere glimpse of curiosity to destroy a town? Hmm... It sounds like me. PROS: - Beautiful scenes that capture your eyes; - Although repetitive, the music fits the game; - Good voice-acting; - Story is interesting; - Journal entries feels like a diary; - Fast-travelling map (not used, I prefer walking through those scenes); - There's a mini-game mechanic that I haven't seen in other games: you have to hover the mouse above the tiles in order to put them in the correct place. Now this was superb! - Main game + Bonus Chapter + Squirrel mini-game; - Two sets of collectibles: ice squirrels and morphing objects. CONS: - No Steam achievements, nor trading cards; - Wish the protagonist would interact with the villains; - HO games are repetitive; - The morphing objects doesn't give you any game or item after collecting them all; - The awkward ending of the bonus chapter. All in all, I think this game is worth to play. A beautiful story during the cold wintery nights. Love it!
Living Legends Remastered: Ice Rose Collector's Edition
(っ^▿^)۶🍸Recommend the game to those who love the same genre 🍺٩(˘◡˘ ) (o・_・)ノ”(ᴗ_ ᴗ。)Sadly, This game is very classic so it is not for everyone.
Gameplay
Very classic in the mechanics. The art was pretty good, the sound was okay for me. Maybe if you have played so many HOP and have nothing more to play then they should try this one. This was not a bad game but not that outstanding considering when the game was created I would think this was pretty good at that time.
Story
The story was not bad ― very classic: evil queen, saving a damsel-in-distress and a husband-in-distress, saving a town or probably the whole world( * ̄∀ ̄) The story progressed very nicely and how the backstory was told was fine but for me the whole story lacks depth(;¬_¬) The story ended in a cliffhanger just as any other snow queen stories I have know( ̄ー ̄; )ゞ but was not really interested after finishing the bonus game. Thinking back to the date this was made, I think that there was a lot of room form improvement so I will play the later games as well. Afterall, the game was good at the time of playing\( ‘ω’)/ ヽ(´∀`。)ノ, but after you finish it there is nothing remarkable that stands outɿ(。
excellent
