game is hella underrated, i recommend you to play for the story/lore and i think its necessary to address it has some really unique fighting and combat

My dear Lisa: It is amazing, with a compelling and absolutely clever narrative and game direction. Beautiful game design, I have played lots of games that always try to surprise you and play with your expectations, and this one had a few moments that really stood out. I played it in painful mode, and, it really delivers that "painful" feeling to the max, forcing you to make really though decisions while not being able to scumsave or literally falling to death if you are not careful enough 90% of the time, but, after playing it, what I remember the most is how much fun and surprising the game managed to be, while also speaking about really hard subjects. I think this is achieved by the outstandingly creative soundtrack, the incredibly fun fights, and the memorable cast of middle-aged, depressed men you gather as a squad. The story felt a bit convoluted at times and kind of hard to understand, even at the end. Also, Lisa the Joyful was a bit of a worse experience, gameplay-wise, so after finishing this one, I went into it expecting some explanations or a superb ending and I was left a bit down. To me, this feels a lot like a darker Undertale, and it surprised me to know that LISA came out before one of my favorite games, really incredible what they managed to make with this game's engine. All in all, it's a very memorable game with plenty of soul. That leaves a mark, and apart from me not enjoying the ending as much as I would've liked to, I still consider it a masterpiece and recommend you to play it! "This is the second most tragic thing to happen in my life."
