About

Liquidation is a tactical Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game set in a universe that mixes elements of both fantasy and science fiction, with support for both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Our story unfolds on the dying planet of Veá, where a sudden, cataclysmic event, known as the Splintering, wiped out entire species and destroyed thriving civilzations.
In its wake, a strange, powerful substance, called Quenrium rose from the depths of the world. Discovery of life-sustaining properties of Quenrium, in a world starved for resources, led a conflict between the Twilight Crusade and the Scourge alliance over its possesion.
Thus began the Quenrium War.
Fanatical zealots clad in radiant golden armor. Guided by unshakable faith, they seek absolute control of the planet and the eradication of all who oppose their holy mandate.
A desperate coalition of Lamia tribes and technologically advanced Frogkin. United by necessity, they combine primal ferocity with cutting‑edge weaponry to survive against overwhelming threats.
Host of demons pouring into Veá through a tear in reality. Shapen by a godlike entity from the Nether realm, they only seek to do bidding of their master.
Liquidation delivers tightly balanced battles where every unit and ability serves a clear, intentional role.
The game encourages thoughtful army composition and mid‑sized forces, striking a sweet spot between micro‑level control and macro‑level strategy. This creates a battlefield where smart tactical choices, clever positioning, and well-timed abilities can swing the tide and secure decisive advantages.
Liquidation’s story is driven by powerful commanders who serve as the narrative centerpieces.
Commanders level up and unlock new abilities as the campaign progresses. Commanders are not meant to overshadow the armies they lead. Even the strongest commander cannot stand alone. Every strength comes with a weakness. This creates a world where heroes matter, but armies remain essential.

Best way to describe this is a mixture of Dawn of War, Warcraft, and Starcraft. To think this was made by a single person, which only adds to the confusion of how Stormgate went as wrong as it did. The mining is Starcraft like, but the rest feels closer to Dawn of War and Warcraft 3. It is fully voice acted which is nice. The voice acting reminds me a bit of a game called Earth Defense Force 5, but I think it adds to the charm personally. The tech tree and vehicles are very Dawn of War 1, but the individual units are controlled more like Warcraft 3. The core tech structure of the 3 factions is very similar and structured like DoW (though you do need supply structures too) but the units of each faction are wildly different, though at the base level they fill the ranged and melee roles Warcraft 3 had. Each faction also handles base defenses differently. Each of the 3 factions is mostly complete, though only one has 3 heroes as of now and they all might all get new units later. The campaign is fun, very RTS Meets Earth Defense Force in tone. Only 6 missions currently but they do a good job introducing two of the factions and the lore of the world. It is an early build so there are bugs here and there but overall it feels good to play. Pathfinding is generally good but units do sometimes get stuck on pointy geometry such as an extended rock formation. Overall this game looks very promising and excited to see how far it goes! (Also hoping someday it gets some kind of co op mode besides just skirmish)

Disclosure: I don't often buy Early Access games, let alone review them. This project is different. Was following this game's development for years now, joined their Discord in 2019, and I'm extremely glad it persevered through all the hardships of life and circumstance devs encountered. For the game itself, it's a very solid Early Access release, in my opinion. It wears its inspirations clearly, the WC/SC pillar of RTS, but it does it with respect, style and own ideas. Content is there, campaign (structured as a timeline, how neat is that), skirmish with all three races complete and playable (no placeholder units, no nothing) and enough maps to have a good time. Technical side also seems solid: performance is stable, no spikes; and pathfinding works surprisingly well, I didn't see a single unit get stuck on anything even once, no matter how big armies were and in what narrow environments they navigated, felt very nice. Soundscape is a bit barebones, I feel, be it in battle or just sound cues, but it's nothing that can't be steadily improved. And finally, the visuals. This is obviously the star of the show, for me at least, because I adore the art style of the game. Yes, some may claim it's derivative or lacking in creativity (generic warhammer humans, hurr durr, another bug race, oogly boogly, more mysterious alien-likes, hhnngg) but I find it rather charming and beautifully detailed. It's nicely contrasting in colors, but not oversaturated, and old school in it's presentation, without too many a modern high fidelity technique, no blur, bloom, glaring reflections or whatnot, everything rather reserved and measured. And even more, readability is also surprisingly good, despite the seemingly uniform unit design of every faction. I'm pleasantly surprised by this Early Access launch, hope it'll have a productive and successful development period on path to v1.0 - and recommend it to any starving RTS zealot like me. P.S. Couldn't care less about multiplayer, but it's there for those who want it.
A strong start, very fluid and one of the better modern RTS's out there with some nice QOL improvements over the classics. I played the Dev's other game Loria back in the day and also enjoyed that one. This guy knows how to make RTS games. Worth supporting if you enjoyed titles such as Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2. This so far seems a little simpler which IMO is a nice change. I found it very easy to just pick up and learn everything quickly. Look forward to trying this out at our next LAN!
Effectivelly combining the best of Warcraft 3 (hero units and big beefy units) and Stracraft (combine arms armies, diverse unit abilities and fast paced combat) and a little bit of Dawn of War (separation of infantry and vehicle unit caps) Still rough around the edges (pathing - units body blocking your own army or going the long way around and looping back to get to the enemy, spells could be improved - sound effects, clearer ability AOE borders, campaing voicelines and unit quotes for the frog minigun hero sound different, campaing maps are a bit barebones atm not on par of Warcraft 3 or Starcraft, creeps could use a bit alien variety) Still what is there shows great promise: the factions are fun and quite diverse, units each have their place and use, voice actors for this are doing stellar job and the lore is interesting to want to know more (and it looks awesome). The game runs well, was in my playtime so far bug free (or so small it was hard to notice anything). The music is also great and it all combines to a great game AND it's still very early access. If the devs keep at it this game is shaping to be a true gem of a modern RTS. TLDR: a great RTS though still in EA. Imo it is worth the asking price but if you are a bit sceptical it would be better to wait 1-2 big patches to get a bigger picture and direction. Would recomemend.
The closest I've seen another RTS come to having campaigns to the likes of Starcraft and Warcraft. Expectations should be set for an EA launch, campaign isn't finished yet, 3 factions are playable with a 4th coming eventually, the multiplayer map list is small at the moment but supports various player sizes. That being said there is plenty to enjoy in the games current state and it's very impressive coming from a solo dev!
Love the nagalike race! Good potential, I hope people check it out!
Very good early access game that plays like warcraft 3,campaign is a bit short right now,but it will be expanded in the future.
The Game is heavily inspired by Warcraft 3 and it shows. I like how unique each of the current factions look. I played mostly skirmish matches to see how the game feels in terms of gameplay and it feels like Warcraft 3. Some of the animations for some units are kind of janky and I think some of the units attacks lack "impact". Currently there are only 2 usable heroes per faction which I think severely limits gameplay variety. In Warcraft 3 players have 3 heroes to choose from per faction and could hire alternative heroes and obtain items from buildable structures. There isn't anything like that in the game from what I can tell at the current time. There are also only 2 playable 1v1 maps at the time of this review. The developers have clearly done a great job making a solid foundation to build up from and I am looking forward to seeing what they might add to the game in the future to really make this an interesting alternative to Warcraft 3. As far as I'm aware this is the first game I've seen tackle an RTS in the style of Warcraft and I think the developers have done a great job so far.
Love letter to Warcraft 3 with a little bit of Starcraft thrown in the mix. If you are a die hard RTS fan you have to play this game. It already includes campaign, match making for pvp and skirmish mode against AI. I will be watching how this game evolves with great excitement.
Warcraft 3 meets Stacraft 2. Tiene mucho futuro por delante.
