About

Liquidation is a tactical Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game set in a universe that mixes elements of both fantasy and science fiction, with support for both single-player and multiplayer modes.
Our story unfolds on the dying planet of Veá, where a sudden, cataclysmic event, known as the Splintering, wiped out entire species and destroyed thriving civilzations.
In its wake, a strange, powerful substance, called Quenrium rose from the depths of the world. Discovery of life-sustaining properties of Quenrium, in a world starved for resources, led a conflict between the Twilight Crusade and the Scourge alliance over its possesion.
Thus began the Quenrium War.
Fanatical zealots clad in radiant golden armor. Guided by unshakable faith, they seek absolute control of the planet and the eradication of all who oppose their holy mandate.
A desperate coalition of Lamia tribes and technologically advanced Frogkin. United by necessity, they combine primal ferocity with cutting‑edge weaponry to survive against overwhelming threats.
Host of demons pouring into Veá through a tear in reality. Shapen by a godlike entity from the Nether realm, they only seek to do bidding of their master.
Liquidation delivers tightly balanced battles where every unit and ability serves a clear, intentional role.
The game encourages thoughtful army composition and mid‑sized forces, striking a sweet spot between micro‑level control and macro‑level strategy. This creates a battlefield where smart tactical choices, clever positioning, and well-timed abilities can swing the tide and secure decisive advantages.
Liquidation’s story is driven by powerful commanders who serve as the narrative centerpieces.
Commanders level up and unlock new abilities as the campaign progresses. Commanders are not meant to overshadow the armies they lead. Even the strongest commander cannot stand alone. Every strength comes with a weakness. This creates a world where heroes matter, but armies remain essential.

*This is an early access review* There have been a few Warcraft 3 like games to come out in recent years, I'm putting this one at the very top. Beautiful visuals, Very well designed units and factions, an actually intriguing story and an honestly not bad soundtrack. If you like Starcraft, Warcraft, or 40k you are obligated to check this game out. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. Very excited to see how this game evolves.
This is a fantastic spiral successor to Warcraft 3. For long time I hoped that Blizzard would make another warcraft rts. However they never did. (Apart from the Reforge). This game is a mix between warcraft fantasy and sci-fi. You have armies of units, heroes and vehicles. Thankfully the vehicles are on a separate supply from infantry so infantry will still be important late game. Vehicles are here to support your army, not take it over. You have 3 different factions. The human Twilight Crusade who are space knights, the Scourge Alliance of both Toadkin and Lamia snake people who work together, and the Demonic Legion all fighting for control of a resource called Quenrium and the world of Vea. A 4th faction called the Corruption will be release later, you can see them in some missions and they seem similar to the Zerg. There are some missions, more will be added later. The missions also have a timeline to help you understand some of the background to the story. I am having a blast playing this. If you loved playing Warcraft 3, you will enjoy this!
Wow. This is what Stormgate should have been, and if the other reviews are correct, is all from one person? Amazing. Bought for myself and my brother so can play coop vs AI. Highly recommend you give this a try if you like the old school RTS - Starcraft/Warcraft/Dawn of War. Campaign is a little rough around the edges so far (only played the first mission between doing some 1v1 with AI). I tired to force myself to believe in stormgate and was sorely disappointed, but based on where this game is already, it slaps! Art is on point and each faction has really cool uniquely designed units. Maps have the right amount of resources and creep spawns. Can't really say anything more! Buy it and let's get the PvP going!
Fun game, loved the missions. Definitely a warcraft 3 lite. Can't wait for more content. I hope more people buy it as there is no good rts games any more which is a shame
In an era where every new indie RTS desperately tries (and inevitably fails) to be the next Starcraft 2, Liquidation has gone all hipster on us and decided to be the next Warcraft 3 instead. And as of Early Access version 0.605, it looks like it might just pull that off with aplomb, though naturally on a much more limited budget than Blizzard's classic. Liquidation essentially combines a Warhammer 40,000 style science-fantasy setting with the core gameplay and cartoony art style of Warcraft 3, as well as Starcraft 2's economy. And considering that this game is being developed mostly by just one person, it's really astounding how well this combination works, and how polished the experience already is, despite the game's Early Access state. Now, I don't know about you, but when Starcraft 2 originally released in 2010, I was a bit disappointed, because it felt like a big step backward from all the interesting new ideas and innovations that Warcraft 3 had brought to the standard Blizzard RTS formula. This is probably why Liquidation feels so refreshing to me today, despite being so heavily inspired by that 2002 classic, from the RPG-ish hero unit systems with simple skill trees and persistent inventories, to the upkeep mechanic that entices players to focus on smaller armies with well-considered unit compositions. Though in an interesting Dawn of War twist on the formula, vehicles in Liquidation don't count towards upkeep, and they use a separate (much lower) maximum supply limit. What's perhaps most surprising are the production values already present in Liquidation's Early Access build. All of the gameplay systems work well together, the surprisingly detailed unit models and environments form a cohesive art style, and there's even full voice acting throughout the game, including the campaign. Speaking of the currently 6 campaign missions available, Liquidation also does a really good job at drawing players in with its worldbuilding and story. While a lot of information on the greater plot developments is presented as text boxes in the campaign menu, every single mission also features fully voiced in-game cutscenes as well as dialogue during gameplay. Really the only thing I felt was missing in this early state of the game are some vehicle sound effects (which isn't unusual for an Early Access build). My opinion on the game is a bit more mixed when it comes to the map designs, though that's mostly because I don't really like the Starcraft 2 approach of making every map essentially a highly symmetrical flat surface with some rocks and trees sprinkled around to create individual paths. In that regard, I definitely prefer Godsworn's approach to map design, using interesting set-pieces, height differences and asymmetric landscape features like mountains and rivers to make every map feel unique. But I understand that that's just my personal preferences. All in all, Liquidation is already set to eventually become the perfect Warcraft 3 homage, so anyone yearning to experience that flavour of RTS again should definitely take a look. It's the most clear-cut attempt at reviving that particular style of RTS since the sadly-abandoned A Year of Rain, and it sits right up there on my "RTS hopefuls" list, together with Godsworn.
Its a great RTS blends the best of SC and WC feels good to play very smooth and clean visuals to see what's going on. For the price I can recommend it!
It is said, that great literature borrows and builds upon other works of great literature... so too is it with RTS games "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" - Isaac Newton What if you had a Warcraft 3 game mode where you didn't have a cloak mechanic, and you didn't have air units, but instead you had heavy vehicles at tier 2 and 3, and you replace the gold/wood resources with purple minerals and honey? Make it more like Starcraft 1, only most (all?) of your units do have an upgradeable ability, and the heroes work just like Warcraft 3 (level ups, inventory, resurrectable). By my reckoning, Liquidation is this If you remember the missions near the end of Brood War, where you did get a hero unit, it plays a lot like those There's not a lot of campaign yet, its early access, but the missions I have played are just what you would get in this style of game. The story is good, and I'm sure I am going to get a lot of hours just playing the different races in skirmish. The most important thing, to me, is that the mechanics for the game are good: collision, pathing, keybinding, the UI... all of it is good. Multiplayer, matchmaking, public lobbies, all that stuff is in game too, which is great. Did I mention, it sounds and looks sexy as hell? I personally love this style of game. Here, the sound is excellent, the voicing fits just right, the music is fantastic. The colors are vibrant and the art style is perfect. It is just a certain aesthetic that succeeds at not over-doing it Really excited to see new missions and new maps coming along down the road, I feel like those are the main things the game still needs: more maps, more missions. The bones of the game though, solid Highly Recommend
Very much a sci-fi spiritual successor feel to WarCraft 3. Still early access, but the promise and foundation is there. Looking forward to complete content and polish. Campaign timeline is interesting take on missions; I am enjoying reading the lore so far. Some parts feel a bit janky, but can be overlooked for now during early access. (mostly bugs) Haven't experienced online much as there was not many people online. I saw a few, but when I went to queue, it was a big wait and our game ended prematurely.
Plays similar to WC3 but with sci fi factions. It's good. If you're looking for a full campaign then wait for the full release because at time of writing just after early access release there's only a handful of missions.
