Imagine you're a 12 year old, suddenly in charge of the guard shed at the castle gate, where you decide if elves, goblins and 100+ other characters should be admitted. It's a wonderful combination of deduction, narrative and puzzle games.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 11 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
There doesn't seem to be much here in terms of gameplay. Lil' Guardsman leans more toward being a visual novel in which you can just click through all the options to see what happens. This game has a distracting number of punctuation errors and voiceover-subtitle discrepancies. Unfortunately, there's apparently no option to make the dialogue advance automatically. Having to walk to precisely the right spot to get the interact icon to appear is annoying. The music on the map screen is a dope track, but it would be more fitting in a Fast & Furious movie, not this game.
Un des meilleurs jeux point and click que j'ai fait. Une véritable pépite. Si vous vous débrouillez bien en anglais, foncez sans hésiter !

A steal for $4, cute, charming and fun....at first, however it tries to be a little "too silly" and attempts at logic (like
calling law enforcement on an arsonist, trying to jailing a murderer, or denying a vampire who has bitten many of his clients
) are often punished, ridiculed and low rated (if you live). Action point/tool usage goes from "Instant 4 stars in 1 turn" and "that's not at all what i wanted to use that tool for". The game intentionally misleads you at times for "comedy". Also for a game designed to be replayed, few things can be skipped (so you spam through the dialogue), level select erases progress, and your "permanent upgrades" are taken away. Just looking at requirements for some 4 stars, it's less "use your brain" and more "follow a guide". The best way to play the game is probably do one blind playthrough, enjoy yourself even with the game talking ♥♥♥♥ to you for not being perfect all the time, beat it and move on. I feel like a new game + with all your upgrades would have made replaying appealing, as well as being able to skip a lot more dialogue. It started off very fun, and still was only $4 at the time. But it got annoying at times
I really enjoy games that rely on your decisions and this is the epitome of that. I loved the graphics and the voice actors and the character development.
This is one of those few instances where I didn't like the game much, but still recommend it. It's got personality, I like the art style, and I appreciate what they were going for with it. If you like point and click games with silly humor, you'd like this game, but don't go in expecting anything deep or profound or anything beyond Silly. The gameplay is such that you literally either need to play it multiple times or read a guide to know which choices you need to make for certain outcomes despite the game making it seem like logic and deduction should be all you need. I tend to play my games YOLO style, so this wasn't a big deal to me, but I could see it being annoying to some. The story also feels like it's giving you choice when it's pretty railroaded, so it's more an illusion of choice. As for the characters, their designs and inspirations are fun and unique, and some of the voice acting is great, but not all. Why do so many characters' voices sound like they were recorded in a closet? Again, if you're into silly little games with a lot of personality that don't take themselves too seriously and it seems like the creators had a lot of fun with them, go for it. Just because I didn't enjoy it doesn't mean it's a bad game in this case. I recognize the potential. It's just not my thing.
Great game with point and click adventure vibes. Good humor and easily accessible for players new to adventure gaming. Not overly long, but felt like the right amount of time for the content.
It isn't easy for me to find a game that I have fun with, but that one is one I'm really into. It's a winding tale, artwork, sound and gameplay. I'm used to more difficult games of that genre, like Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle, but it was very relaxing for me to play through it. It's ironic dark and sarcastic humour will stay in my memory. Pretty damn good casual game.
