About
A new legend begins as you step into the steel toe boots of Goro Majima, a man who has lost his memory and reinvents himself as a pirate on the open sea.
Embark on an over-the-top, modern-day pirate adventure with an ex-yakuza, now pirate captain and his crew as they engage in exhilarating combat on land and sea in the hunt for lost memories and a legendary treasure.
Goro Majima, a notorious ex-yakuza suddenly finds himself shipwrecked on a remote island in the Pacific. Unable to remember even his own name, he sets sail in search of clues to his lost memories, accompanied by a boy named Noah who saved his life. Before long, they’re caught up in a conflict between cutthroat criminals, modern-day pirates, and other scoundrels over a legendary treasure.
Assemble a one-of-a-kind crew while upgrading your ship as you explore the open sea and forge your legend in the cannon fire of foes, unexpected friendships, and immense riches made along the way.
When an enemy pirate ship catches you in their sights, an exhilarating real-time cannon battle breaks out. Quickly maneuver into position while avoiding fire, then deliver devastating damage to board the enemy ship and take down the captain in all-out crew vs. crew brawls. Conquer the seas, discover hidden islands and acquire loads of loot like a true yakuza pirate!
Dynamically switch between the “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog” fighting styles to mix-up attacks and deliver explosive combos, juggles, and aerial takedowns that reward your creativity with over-the-top action.
With “Mad Dog” style, utilize speed, agility, and flair to deliver precise yet powerful blows that stun your enemies into submission.
Or make enemies walk the plank with the “Sea Dog” style that has you dual-wielding short swords and deploying tricky pirate tools to kick some serious booty.

its fun to play
This is my first Yakuza game. I never really got into the series before, the videos always looked weird, the reviews talked about this massive ongoing storyline, and I never felt like I actually understood what these games were about. It's still hard to explain, honestly. BUT Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a real banger. I'm usually not the type of person who does a lot of sidequests or tries to collect all the small plibs on a map, but damn, I really liked doing it here. And there is just so much to do. I bought this and Infinite Wealth on sale as a bundle and binged them back-to-back. Comparing the two, Pirate Yakuza doesn't feel quite as big or polished as Infinite Wealth, and the story wasn't as captivating. But honestly? I would still reinstall this game and play the free roam mode again without blinking an eye. There are so many minigames and side activities to dive into. I didn't care too much for the main plot, though Goro Majima is a fantastic character. Sometimes there's a bit too much talking (even if it's way less than in Infinite Wealth), but the fighting is absolute bliss and so much fun. Compared to Infinite Wealth, it doesn't feel like "too much" combat, if that makes sense. It just flows better. I highly recommend this game, even at full price. There are hours of pure, silly fun here. FYI: I started playing with the English dub but later switched to Japanese audio with German subtitles (JP-Dub / DE-Sub). I can only recommend playing it that way, it totally elevates the experience. (Of course with the Sub of your choice.)
Funny Pirate Man beating up Gangsters with Cutlasses..... best game ever
Captain Beef is a party member in this game and the first time I saw him I was contemplating existence for 5 minutes. The original review was negative since it was a joke in the VC I was in, but so far this game is pretty good.
tbh this game is just trying to be a fun pirate acid trip
In terms of story, there isnt much. But for the price (on sale) This is a whirl of a time. Still has all the Yakuza goofyness, with less of the story. I had an amazing time with it and have to recommend it to anyone wanting a laid back enjoyable experience. I did experience one unexpected crash, but other than that the game ran near flawlessly.
不錯~~~
awesome game didnt think a pirate yakuza game could be this good its like the funniest best parts of the yakuza games all crammed into a psychotic pirate sim
