Lighthaze World is a fun game that i enjoy playing because it reminds me of games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley but with more story and puzzles. My favourite out of Nym and Chewy is obviously Chewy because of how cute he is and how he almost dies (while helping Nym). This game is recommended for those who like cozy and casual games especially when they are stressed and want to unwind. I also love seeing some of my city (Launceston) in a video game :P :). #nocap #amazing.
Cozy, relaxing and a total chill vibe. The soundscapes and environments offer an instant calm mood while the puzzles will continue to get you thinking about your next move.
Lighthaze World is calming and challenging at the same time. The puzzles gradually get more complex, but there is always a way to solve them. The environment and music relaxing. I can relate to Nym's journal entries. My favourite puzzle is the light refraction.
Nice little puzzle adventure. Good blend between doing puzzles and exploring the environments. Lots of lil gems hidden around of Tassie locations. Music is well done. Loved going on the adventure with Chewy!
It has been amazing seeing the development of Lighthaze World unfold since PAX AUS 2023, the developer has keenly taken onboard feedback from numerous gaming exhibits and it shows. The final product is a refined experience to the already great demo I played at PAX AUS 2023... the controls have been tightened, the overall feel of the game goes hand in hand with the wonderful low poly graphics. I really enjoyed the puzzles, being a gamer since the late 80s there are plenty of nods to the many "bits" that came before, while still solidifying into a unique and memorable experience. I especially love the way the character, Nym, works through their anxious trip to the shopping mall, something all too real for many of us! Having no real dialogue or other characters to interact with, and the environment (along with trusty canine, Chewy!) being your "guide" is a great way to experience this relaxing "go at your pace" puzzle game. I also want to point out this game plays GREAT on the Steamdeck, I actually completed the game this way and it felt right at home running at a smooth framerate and native resolution.
Played through the first map/world/level and it definitely has the cosy/calming vibes. The most stressful part was the mall scene although that seems to be the intention/vibe. You can get distracted running around and exploring but in the end you’re right back to following the doggo. Game runs smoothly, snuggled up with it on the steam deck and sunk a good hour into it. Interested to see what puzzles and Easter eggs I’ll find in the next area.
Really enjoyed this game and loved how it truly never felt like there was pressure or stress in working through them, the developer is lovely and clearly has a great talent for how to craft a game and tell a story, I'm looking forward to their next title! I also missed some of the bonus features in my playthrough and WILL be going back to 100% them :)
I’ve followed Lighthaze World for years—through quiet devlog updates on instragram, heartfelt teasers, and those magical moments at PAX Aus and The Game Expo where Radiobush’s booth felt like a pocket dimension of calm in the chaos. Watching this game grow from concept to release has been like witnessing a friend find their voice. Now that it’s finally out, I can say: Lighthaze World is everything I hoped it would be, and more. You play as Nym, navigating a surreal mall that melts into Tasmanian wilderness—a metaphorical landscape shaped by anxiety, memory, and love. The puzzles are gentle but clever, inviting reflection rather than frustration (sometimes). There’s no combat, no rush—just quiet persistence, like a deep breath held and slowly released. The art direction is stunning. Stylized yet grounded, it captures the emotional haze of Nym’s world with soft palettes and shifting perspectives. And the soundtrack? Breathe, Rest, Repeat is a masterclass in ambient storytelling. I’ve looped it during my own creative sessions—it’s that good. What really struck me, though, is how personal it feels. Radiobush didn’t just make a game—they built a ritual. One that honors vulnerability, companionship, and the small acts of courage we perform daily. Chewy, Nym’s dog, isn’t just a sidekick—he’s a lifeline. And that bond? It’s real. It resonates. If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, if you’ve ever needed a quiet space to sort through the noise, Lighthaze World offers that. It’s not just a game—it’s a balm. And the soundtrack? Breathe, Rest, Repeat by Tweaklab is a killer companion to the game’s emotional arc. It’s not just ambient—it’s intentional. Tracks like the Down The Hollows really make you feel the pulse with warmth and introspection, echoing Nym’s journey through distortion and clarity. I’ve found myself looping it during my own creative rituals—it’s the kind of music that lingers long after the credits roll.
As an autism I can relate to the story and its very well written. The puzzles are also very challenging especially the bonus puzzles. The music is very chilling and lovely, also the graphics. I would recommend the game for every puzzle fans who also likes chill games with a story that feels real.
