With the perfect environment formed, you can lure over 40 different wildlife species from coral crabs and monkfish to distinctive hammerhead sharks. Admire your new school of fish close-up or watch over your entire colony, using a powerful new camera system. Under the reef heart’s watchful gaze, create and nurture your own sub-aquatic haven. However, housing them is only the start. To keep the underwater ecosystem thriving, you must cater to their needs and protect them from external threats.
From shifting biomes to outside influence, Life Below presents a range of challenges to navigate. Algae levels, PH balance and an infestation of lionfish aren’t the only challenges you’ll have to solve. More serious threats such as oil spills and garbage patches will call for creative strategies, requiring the help of special wildlife to overcome.
Every zone of the ocean floor will bring its own set of challenges. Temperature and acidity fluctuations along with a naturally limited area are only a few of the problems you’ll need to adapt to. Only by strategically adapting your playstyle to each environment can you efficiently expand your territory to restore the entire reef to its former glory.

A slow but satisfying builder. Really love that the animals and corals are real and the little factoids about them. Some swimming animations are a little janky now and then, but nothing that detracts from the charm. I'm enjoying playing hide-and-seek with flounders and delighted when visitors show up at my growing reef.

I received this for FREE as i helped ALPHA & BETA test the game over 6+ months. Now into the game. What can i say but WOWZERS , this is like PLANETBASE but SET UNDER WATER. You build a undewater colony of living sea items with a beating heart that is kept working by little blue alien ghosts, who do your bidding , You build and house undersea creatures, solve problems , etc. You level up your type of aquatic organisms and learn and build new things. The Graphics , Audio and Game mechanics are amazingly crystal clear and very engaging. Megapop have done an insanely superb job on this game. This game should be a AA game as this puts a lot of other games from better studios to shame. I played just under 4 hours so far and it only felt like maybe 10 minutes, I do not know where the time went !!!!! The devs took their time and it shows, through out the game !!!!!!!! Ive only managed to get to the about 50% of the way through the first starter underwater area. Their are multiple different aquatic regions, Sand , Rock , Cold , Hot , etc for you to colonise. IF YOU LIKE PLANETBASE , YOU WILL LOVE THIS GAME !!!!
absolut amazing game but my grafikcard was running high on max grafik if you have the basic figured out, its not so hard, after around 2h you have the start done than the real deal starts and from there it goes bigger and bigger as soon as you have each map on 30-60-90 % covered with buildings(corals) you can relax make sure to keep turtels, crabs, and so on in each area for special task make sure to have enough space to act when its overheating ore gets messi sometimes it was to much at one time and i lost a lot but in the end i managed balanced everthing upgradet and so on the game is lovely, i loved when i had special fishis come and visit me :3 i could spwear summoning delfins made the fish eating muränes go away !! i would love for some deco and stuff that could be integrated in the ocean no matter what a very lovely game for 10-20 h the developer are currently focusing on bugs and glitches so expanding map will have to wait :3 cant wait *.*
If you like city building sims but you want something diff for a change. This is a great sim to pick up. the characters are cute, the story is fun. and the gameplay is great. And you get to watch lots of tropical fish swim about.
