Lies of P is a thrilling soulslike that takes the story of Pinocchio, turns it on its head, and sets it against the darkly elegant backdrop of the Belle Epoque era.

con: odd enemy placement in many locations that is only frustrating, not a challenge just annoying. Boss stagger is non-existent, enemies barely react when you hit them, hit boxes of weapons feels wrong, getting outranged by every single enemy is only frustrating, not fun. Every boss fight has the same gameplay loop, boss has a massive tantrum, does 20 attacks in a row that you cant punish, and then stares at you for 10 seconds. Boring after the 7th time you fight one. Combat doesn't feel like a set of trades, it feels like you being punished for attacking within a window and only glass canon or full defense feels viable. A shadow of a souls game and a cheap attempt at copying fromsoft. pro: game is pretty and the VO are nice? that's about it.
Lies of P is by far the best souls-like game that is not made by Fromsoft. I found the graphics, atmosphere, story and the Combat to be so much fun. I love the parry mechanic! Getting multiple blocks in a row, then to deliver the death blow behind it is so much fun. P is an interesting character, even though He can't talk. He can pull off a top hat and green sun glass though. Building the weapons from killing bosses is one of the coolest things you can do in the game. The levels in the game are pretty cool. I only found 1-2 levels kinda annoying, but not enough to be upset. I liked the swamp level, Yeah I said it! Swamp level is cool. There is only 2-3 bosses in the game that I found to be unfun. Most boss fights are the best boss encounters you can find in gaming. 9.4/10 Buy it on sale with the DLC. Super worth your time! btw DLC is Awesome. ----------------------------- TLDR--- Wood nose boy who lies a lot goes "bup bup bup bup" with his sword and gun on fake NPC's, Worth your time.

Hands down one of the best games i've ever played. I recommend getting the DLC as well it's amazing.
