Once you beat the campaign, there's nothing else to do really, and I did that in 7 hours. There's no replayability. Increased difficulties don't offer anything, nor does the sandbox mode. Which is such a shame because with 30% more content, properly designed, this could be a great game. As it stands, it's just "meh". Everything clicks and builds up to a conclusion that you never really get. It just...ends. I will recommend it, though. Those 7 hours were fun, albeit with a lackluster conclusion. I got it on sale for a couple bucks. It was worth it, but maybe just barely. 5/10.
It saddens me to have to give this game a negative review. It's on sale now for $5. If it were the base, non-sale price, I'd probably be OK with giving it a positive review whilst listing all the negative things about the game. Some clown in another review said there's woke garbage, then played for a few more hours after the review. I found a key for $1, so naturally I had to see if the broflake was correct. Didn't see anything about communism or the "wokeness" that those who are asleep gripe about. What I did see was a tutorial (and game mechanics?) that didn't work. I place everything as prompted, when prompted. It seems like the mechanics either don't work, or the tutorial is crap. The tutorial is kinda crap either way. Got to place 2 fisheries down. Then a granary. Something with placing the granary is where it all went wrong. Fisheries only remained with half worker capacity and the granaries just are never used. Plenty of population, so unless we're in a capitalist dystopia and all the children are working, there shouldn't be any buildings unoccupied. A bit of a head-scratcher, there's no reason it shouldn't work, unless the crap tutorial is crap and neglected to tell me something. I will probably try the sandbox and other modes at some point, but for now, I give this a thumbs down, especially if you don't get it on sale.
Buenas, no, no me gustó.
Good game
It's got some rough edges and interface oddities, but this is a pleasant throwback to older-style city builders such as Pharaoh. The art's what really impressive, though. Good, but not groundbreaking or massive.
Absolutely unplayable on Steam Deck.
