Congratulations, if you are reading this you've stumbled into the weird indie part of steam. Games like books are probably the closest we can get to living in someone else's world. In LesbiAnts you get to live in the world of gay ants. One day the ant’s peace was shattered by a mysterious outbreak of mutation causing “fruits”. All around them life changes from mysterious mushroom people to gigantic steaming mechanized beetles. Their formerly infertile queen begins to have eggs and strange new lifeforms begin to grow inside of them. The world is rapidly changing in unpredictable ways. In a world where almost everything wants to kill you, the few moments where things slow down and someone just wants to talk become incredibly touching and mysterious. I will be wondering about the hidden motivations of the mushroom people for a long time to come. As far as gameplay you end up going through a rather clunky set of RPG segments that are strangely compelling in that they are entirely custom made and different from most off the shelf rpg creation tools like RPGmaker. There is a certain thrill in experimenting with the mutations to figure out what works best in the game. The gauntlet is worth playing to get to experiment with the system more after the main game. Ideally I wish it were available at the start so that players could get a sense of the game's combat before playing the main game but that's a minor complaint. Between the gauntlet and the gallery the game offers some small bonuses for you to play after you beat it. This game contains adult content in the form of humanoid insect women in brief erotic drawings if you wish to see them. The art is pretty but it doesn't meaningfully change the story and you could play without it on. The closest thing to it would be old strip mahjong/poker/breakout games for the pc-98 that show a brief moment of titillation in-between a well crafted game that could've stood on its own without it. If you enjoy playing extremely obscure games because you are a hardcore gamer, then this title is worth your time even off a sale. Given the nature of steam you'll get to explore a world that only a few people will ever see and that's not a bad use of an hour even at 5 dollars. TLDR: If you are looking for a porn game to masturbate to, skip it. Indie Game Maniacs should try it, if only for the uniqueness of the plot, system, and world.
trans people flirting: you need to hold me down by my weak little ant legs and use me. we have to repopulate the hive (the game is fun! thank you! i will never kill an ant for the rest of my life, god willing. long live the hive!)
An at times genuinely affecting story of trans experience and sexuality, and also of horny ant lesbians. Overall a short but charming experience, if occasionally somewhat buggy (pun intended), with a great sense of style
LesbiAnts - Our New Morphology, by developer astoryinpieces, is the game of our generation. This game has a strong vision and executes on it unapologetically. It is 100% worth the short time and small price. It's a must-buy for weird girlthings, monster ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and bug lovers alike. I bought a copy for a lesbian in need, and 4 years later we're married and in love.
~In this menu, decide what changes the gift makes to Our bodies.~
LesbiAnts initially caught my eye because of the silly title. The game IS silly, but it's also one of the most interesting & heartfelt pieces of art I've played on this platform. At risk of hyping it up: on the surface, LesbiAnts is a very short gameboy style RPG that feels true to the era. The UI is clunky and the saving is weird which I personally found charming & nostalgic. Beneath the surface- I found the tone, art, dialogue, themes, game mechanics, etc impactful and personal. The themes are specific enough that they can feel deeply resonant, but abstract & weird enough that the game lends itself to different interpretations. The upgrade system gives each possible upgrade its own feeling with unique dialogue & art panel making them all feel like a distinct meaningful choice rather than just "learn the Sting move" or "increase HP". I really hope the silly title causes people to share this game around online. I found it profound & special.
Ants, ants, we're the ants We prey at night, we stalk at night, we're the ants
feels like it's mostly sold based on a cool concept. there's not much story, the eroticism isn't engaging and the gameplay is repetitive NES dragon quest fare. i'd be so hype to give this a thumbs up but can't really do so in good conscience, sorry :(
i would do anything for her
ant sex is kinda cool ngl. 10/10
