[i]You Are NOT Bunnygirl[/i] is a surprisingly good title for this game, relevant throughout the story. Notably, the story starts very simple, to let the characters and game mechanics establish themselves. The gameplay reflects the struggles of the characters and conveys the core conflict of the story. The gameplay calls for interesting choices without being difficult or frustrating. Unfortunately, that also means it has untapped potential, both in challenges that could be attempted, and in abilities that practically never get used (or are unlocked and promptly forgotten). The aesthetics are solid and coherent. The UX is fine, except for the inability to close the game or review the controls. Overall, a 7.5/10. Jordan did a good job. I will now write fanfic centered on Eddie. I will likely not publish it, and that's okay, because I am writing it for myself.

Positives: - amazing artstyle. - fnuuy humour. - very good music. - interesting characters. - interesting combat system. - lots of various dialogue variations depending on actions taken in-game or the way not-bunnygirl has levelled her skills. Negatives: - a few of the characters or story elements are never expanded upon. - the game feels rushed towards the end. - game is short for what it pretends to be. - the commentary at the end is shoehorned in and feels pretentious as all hell. The absolute worst: Evidently, this game wears its main inspiration on its sleeve, AKA Undertale. That wouldn't be an issue normally. However, some design choices and the way certain things are phrased, will lead you to believe that there are different ways of dealing with various situations. Spoilers ahead, you have been warned. [spoiler]The website (at time of writing https://web.archive.org/web/20260605173531/https://jpeloquin16bf.wixsite.com/bunnygirlrpg ) has an entire section in which the game advertises a feature where enemies can be taken down in non-lethal ways depending on what kind of damage is used. Every enemy react differently to damage types. The first boss in the game can be defeated by doing [b]nothing[/b] and this is acknowledged. On the nose Toriel reference. The fourth boss in the game has a "Can he be saved?" teaser phrase on the second attempt of the fight onwards.[/spoiler] But no, nothing you do does anything. It is a complete and utter rugpull of the player's expectations, pretty much deceptive. Bosses can't be non-lethaled, keeping all the monsters alive during fights does nothing, it's always the same ending. So don't get tricked into thinking that any actions in this game have any consequences or any manner of different paths exist, there are no such things. It's a completely linear experience that gets your hopes up by making some very obvious hints only to disappoint you under the pretense that you being rugpulled was somehow "smart" or "witty" or "commentary".

Absolute peak So now that I've actually finished it, not only is this peak, it's easily one of the best games i've played this year and i'm going to be reccing it to everyone I know and probably gifting them copies. Absolutely wonderful job dev, incredibly creative, unique and charming game in all its aspects, from the art, story, gameplay and music.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, this game was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AMAZING. The battle system was so interesting, and it was a really nice break from all the "Paper Mario" type RPGs I've actually been playing. The story was SO good, and I really want to play the game again. This is a game you should play without knowing anything(Similar to Outer Wilds(which I heavily recommend as well)). I wish I could go back and experience this game for the first time again. PLAY THIS GAME I CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH.

It could use a settings menu. Not at the very least allowing you to rebind controls on PC is absolutely criminal, especially when the default control scheme is THIS bad.

Very strongly recommend. This game takes a strong position on its themes, rather than letting the player deicide its position for it, and is all the better for having done so.

enjoyable to play through has some pretty nice details with different sprites for how you defeat enemies aswell as some fun dialog throughout the whole game. game features themes of self-care and that maybe well, sometimes despite all your efforts. You have to ultimately cut your losses and walk away from the issue. pretty nice and cozy music too. I want to headpat the bunnygirls

good game with cute bunny girl and good lore, i enjoyed the boss battles and i liked using emotion-based powers to deal damage and to keep bunny girls' emotional and physical HP balanced, super fun overall! :3
