Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

good ♥♥♥♥♥ game
When Lego The Hobbit released in 2014, it arrived during the peak of TT Games’ LEGO adaptation era—when nearly every major film franchise was getting the charming, brick-built treatment. Drawing from the first two films of The Hobbit film series—The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug—the game offers a whimsical retelling of a grand fantasy adventure, though not without some noticeable limitations. A Cozy Yet Expansive Middle-earth One of the game’s strongest features is its semi-open world interpretation of Middle-earth. Players can freely explore iconic regions like the Shire, Rivendell, and parts of Wilderland. While not fully open-world in the modern sense, it strikes a satisfying balance between structured levels and exploratory hubs. The environments are colorful and inviting, blending LEGO’s playful aesthetic with surprisingly faithful recreations of J. R. R. Tolkien’s world. There’s a cozy charm here—wandering through Hobbiton while collecting studs feels oddly relaxing. Gameplay: Familiar but Polished If you’ve played other TT Games titles like Lego The Lord of the Rings, you’ll feel right at home. The core loop remains intact: • Solve environmental puzzles • Smash objects for studs • Swap between characters with unique abilities However, Lego The Hobbit introduces a few welcome twists: • Crafting System: Characters gather materials (wood, ore, etc.) to build large LEGO structures—adding a slightly more interactive layer to puzzles. • Dwarf Abilities: Each member of Thorin’s Company has distinct skills, encouraging teamwork and character switching. While these additions don’t revolutionize the formula, they keep things fresh enough to maintain engagement throughout the campaign. Humor and Presentation LEGO games are known for their humor, and this one leans heavily on the film’s dialogue—sometimes lifting it directly. Unlike earlier LEGO titles that relied purely on slapstick, this one uses voice clips from the movies, which can be a double-edged sword: • Adds authenticity • Reduces some of the classic LEGO parody charm That said, visual gags and character animations still deliver plenty of laughs, especially with characters like Bilbo Baggins and Gollum. Story: Incomplete Journey Here lies the game’s biggest flaw: it only covers the first two Hobbit films, completely omitting The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. At the time, there were plans for DLC to complete the story—but it never materialized. As a result, the narrative ends abruptly, lacking the climactic payoff fans would expect. It feels less like a full adventure and more like a story paused mid-sentence. Audio and Atmosphere The soundtrack borrows heavily from the film scores composed by Howard Shore, which helps maintain the epic tone. Combined with ambient sounds and detailed environments, the game creates a surprisingly immersive atmosphere for a LEGO title. Replayability and Completionism Like most LEGO games, completionists will find a lot to love: • Hundreds of collectibles • Hidden characters • Side quests across Middle-earth Unlocking new characters and returning to levels with expanded abilities adds significant replay value. However, some players may find the grind repetitive over time. Final Verdict Lego The Hobbit is a charming, content-rich adaptation that captures the spirit of Middle-earth through a playful LEGO lens. Its crafting system and character variety enhance the familiar formula, while its world design invites exploration. However, the incomplete story holds it back from greatness.
