Can't say I had much expectations, but this took my back into an age I forgot it even existed. It took me back to the times where I used to play games such as Power Rangers Super Legends and other 2D games. It had a very cool and nostalgic vibe that I truly enjoyed and it's own identity and souls, something I rarely see. The clumsiness of the animations makes this so much better. I encountered a bug where if you do multiple inputs at the same time your character just stops responding to anything, but that's something extremely minor. If mister dev decides to fix anything, please, PLEASE NEVER CHANGE THAT GREATSWORD RUNNING ANIMATION, I love that all the way from the bottom of my soul, however a way to be able to see what the stats do from the inventory would be a neat addition, I had to guess what most of the things actually do and calling the HP boosting status "stamina" feels kinda weird to me.
optymalizacja lezy i kwiczy(tylko domku jest miare stabilne klatki)brak sensownego tutorialu i sterowania a najgorsze nie ma ZADNEGO patch tej gry od roku z hakiem!!!
Wow! Finally a good action rpg where I can hack and slay all my way to victory. The controls are very intuitive and I was glad that the game runs without any problems on my old pc. Also I was able to play it on my handheld, which was equally good!
I can't bring myself to recommend Legends of Dionysos to anyone, it's too bland. I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking, just some sidescroller slop I could enjoy for a few hours and I won't even get that. I REALLY enjoy this genre so it's a shame. If this is something you're looking for I'd redirect you to Withering Rooms which is arguably the best I've played. The Gamplay here requires you being a mix of everything, swapping between Weapons to fight. Fairly similar to Guild Wars 2 where Weapons have specific Skills for each one. So if you're an 'Archer' and an Enemy gets on top of you, you can use the Bow to slide away, switch to Staff to blink and gain more distance, then to Shield to heal, then back to the Bow. What are the Issues? - Traveling is a Chore and every map/arena is too big. Squeeze everything down a little. When Waves spawn in Arenas you practically need to go kick an enemy in the head to come towards you. Enemies need to just start moving towards the Player as soon as the Wave spawns. The Portal Home should also have a 'Return Portal' similar to many ARPGs like Diablo. - Unable to hover over anything. You can't read any Skill Descriptions or Stats. My assumption is that STAM/STR/DEX/INT directly scales into Shield/Sword/Bow/Staff, which if true it's incredibly lazy. - Leveling up (the main aspect of the game) only nets you increased stats. Armor directly scales with level so anytime you level up your armor is immediately outdated. - No Talent Tree whatsoever, so the only 'spec' in the game is trying to focus a specific armor type which have affixes like "of the Knight/Mage" to give TINY extra bonuses to STR/INT. - Animations and Movement are janky. What I'd WANT from a game like this is: - Weapon/Armor Sets at specific Levels (7, 13, 19, 25, etc) that give bonuses (or Skill boosts). Look at how MMO's or other RPGs handle this system, it's not new Armor at every level. - A Talent Tree (gives something for Leveling up). This can help make the 'build' that Players want to use. - More Skills, and the ability to form a personalized Build. There should be Weapon-specific, and NON-specific Skills.
Game was fun for a little while. However all this falls apart when you have to fight the dragons. Hands down the worst experience I've had in a video game. Grind gear and levels all you want but it still is awful. Can not recommend this game.
Interesting take on a genre mashup i didnt expect.. only real complaint is combat can feel a little clunky and swinging wildly at things until they die.. but it might just be part of the learning curve.. still a solid fun game
Pretty amazing game! The nice hack-n-slay concept and straightforward gameplay got me into a flow right away. The sound & music are also nice, and the overall atmosphere is quite unique and just well-done. Overall, this game has all it needs... recommended, and please make more of this stuff!
The game is very good. If You ever heard and played game called "Moonstone" LoD is a like a love letter to this old title with modern , excellent graphics and also with good, music . For You all old school RPG fans-try it.
Intense game, very cool! the side scrolling is lovely and the graphics are great!
Good game, controls take a little to get used to, and feels slow at the beginning, but gets better with gear when you focus on agility.
