The physics in Legendary Tales was built to mimic the way real weapons feel and act as close as possible while still being fun to play. Weapons have their own weight so that larger swings will do more damage. Not only that but enemies and destructible items also react to how hard you hit them for a truly engaging experience.

Want to try sneaky kills with a dagger? Hit your enemies from afar with a bow? Or just mash some faces with a morning star? There are a host of different weapon types to suit your play style so find what works for you! And for every weapon type you will find so many variations on their stats thanks to random number generated items. The items are classed into five categories ranging from normal to Legendary. which not only look awesome but have special abilities. What abilities? You’ll have to get one for yourself to find out.

As you fight your way through the world, your character will grow based on how you play. But there’s more to growth than just how you fight, work your way through the magic and skills available to truly bring your character to the next level.

Weapons are fun and all but through the skill tree you can improve your abilities with combat skills or find yourself a Legendary item with their own special abilities and even more, you can upgrade their skills!
If hunting for weapons in the dungeons isn’t for you then we have good news! You can create your own weapons with ingredients found on your adventures, or by honing the weapons you’ve collected. You can also make potions to prepare deep dungeon crawling and disassemble items you found during your adventures to get ingredients and enhance your crafted weapons or potions with them.
Get ready for an epic adventure in VR! Put on your headset, find some friends and head into the dungeon to start creating your own Legendary Tales.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Drecksspiel. Ganz einfach. Drecks Skillsystem, drecks Story, drecks Gameplay. Das ganze ist keine 10 Euro wert geschweige denn 55 Euro. Auf keinen Fall kaufen.
This is the most fun I've had in a VR game in YEARS. Fighting mechanics are rich thought out with a lot more complexity than meets the eye. Graphics are stunning, even when playing on lower graphics settings. The RPG elements are intuitively woven in to the gameplay. The controls could be better but are still good. I love the games crafting system It's morrowind meets dark souls in VR. My only complaints are that some enemies (particularly the ones with spears and the bigger bosses) will get RIGHT up in your face, nose to nose with you which makes for a really awkward fight, it's almost as if the games coding isn't accomadating for the length of their weapons. I love the games dark fantasy art style but some things look too cartoony to fit in like the first NPC you meet, the bats, and the siege hammer. Your character moves so slow even when out of combat that it can sometimes make travel feel like a slog (maybe make it so you move faster with no weapons equipped? This would make unarmed fighting more fun too) And I could complain about the price but I bought this on sale for 50 dollars which I think is more appropriate.
everyone recommended this game to me saying that it was super cool and everything....i hate this game, cant even say why. Its just very underwhelming. The way it looks, the way it plays...everything
Never before have I seen such a good alpha become such a disaster, but here we are. To be clear the alpha was peerless, perhaps one of the best games ever made. Procedural generated levels woven together in an impressive way, along with random enemies. It was desperate and glorious and tooth and nail, never knowing what would be waiting for you in the next room. It actually felt like you were progressing deeper into the heart of a cursed otherwordly place, and playing it on Hardcore was a sublime experience. All of this is gone now replaced with some half baked version of the generic RPG game we have seen a million times before. The randomness is gone and has been replaced with an unchanging an underwhelming world, and somehow the combat just feels worse now too; Where it was tight and reliable it is now loose and floppy. The dark and beautiful atmosphere has been replaced with some cartoon parody of itself, and the brutal difficulty is gone now, along with the literally infinite replayability of the alpha. This could have been, as the name implied, one of those legendary games people would play in fifty years time. Instead it will be forgotten in months and fade away, never to be mentioned again except perhaps as an example of squandering potential. This is a rank and categorical failure.
Zero effort translation, misalligned controller angles, broken height calibration, giant invisible collider on my balls, that gets my hands stuck, broken tutorial, that had me complete it twice, horrible ass UI with no cursor smoothing, 0 multiplayer lobbies even with crossplay enabled. And a cherry on top. Only thing this game could offer is its combat... uhh, you can totally forget about 2H weapons, cause their handling feels like [sample VR game preset handling script], not like playable VR mechanic. And it's just 1 hour of playtime. I could say, that Legendary Tales is just an unpolished indie tech demo of... static enemies damage calculator, but knowing its price, many years of early access, already existing gameplay dlc and another one planned, it's just an effortless broken product, targeted on console players, that are already used to buying overpriced "games".
I initially wrote this off as another Indie VR title that I didn't want to buy for $30 and see become abandonware. When it finally released I heard good things but could not justify dropping $55. I got this on a sale I saw through my bhaptics app popping up involuntarily. "What's making this turn on automatically!? Oh? What's this? Legendary Tales 45% Off?" After having played this game I can see why it was priced so high. Under the surface of "It's like Blade and Sorcery but worse looking" or "Why play this when I can have modded Skyrim in VR?" What we have here is a proper ARPG made from the ground up in VR. Diablo-style randomized loot, Dark Souls-esque world. Satisfying physics based combat A proper levelling system where you can choose skills, allocate attribute points, and feel your character grow with each swing of the blade. I have put countless hours into B&S and their 1.0 crystal progression mode. It's good but lacks replay value. Singleplayer only means they can use a more robust physics system but that comes at a performance premium. Mods are great but every update patch has broken excellent mods and after 1.0 a lot were updated and new mods add some small pieces of new content. It's just not substantial enough for more than a couple extra hours of entertainment. Similar to playing a heavily modded install of Skyrim. On the surface, it looks like a brand new game, but you soon realize that it's still just Skyrim at it's core. This game has a such great framework, I could see way more content being easily added, weapons, armors, skills, monsters, zones and dungeons. This game is not without it's faults and I really wish I could see a coat or two of polish. Squash some of the bugs, clean up some of the enemy animations, fix the wording on some skills to be translated properly or worded in a way that is easier to understand. Maybe catergorize and organize the skill trees in a way that makes it easier to identify build paths and choices. I wish I had played it through early access but am glad to finally try this gem. I'm even tempted to grab a PSVR2 to experience the dualsense haptics alongside my PCVR bHaptics setup and allow me to do multiplayer co-op with my non-vr siblings and friends. Try to grab it on a sale but if you love dark fantasy ARPG's you won't feel remorse supporting this developer at list price.
I love this game very much. But it is not worth the 55 dollar price tag
Great game but not worth the price, even when on sale. I would wait until the devs lowers the price.
