This is like a D&D campaign, but the DM and all the players are horny freaks. The level of horny and freakyness depends from one to another, but it doesen't change the matter. If you are hater of that type cringe - you better pass. If you love to romance characters - you will love this game. Gameplay itself if nice. I was playing on medium difficulty and I can tell it wasn't too hard, but also wasn't easy. The story is good and many aspects of the game is surprisingly high effort. Cool thing that everything is voiced and almost everything is illustrated one way or another. Good times overall if you ask me
This is an excellent and super fun, with plenty of freedom when it comes to the fights themselves. The story is very fun if basic. Eldarra is a super fun parody of fantasy settings, which I love. The characters are were the game truly shines, as with several visual novels, it does railroad a bit, in the sense some of your responses are for flavour rather than substance. Super recommend for the combats though, these are quite fun and you can go various routes to have a lot of replay value on them. Props to Rayna's voice actress for utterly nailing her impression of Sylvie and Aura. The only thing I wish was added was more art that adjusted the characters' outfit to match the subclasses that you give them.

Fun comedy and the battles was fun. The battle system was great and had a good amount of depth combining with customizing items so your characters can work well together. The writing is excellent and if you are into smut or just the comedy of it then this game is for you. The time system is alright since you had to prioritize who you wanted to invest in both in terms of battles and story/relationship. Overall had a great experience and
Sylvie
is the best! I do think the swag could be a lot more creative or less random(maybe something where you could choose one of 3 items?) since 2/3 into the game you very rarely got any items that was useful or an improvement to a character. Also some liabilities didn't work (maybe I did something wrong idk).
E.g. I had one that killed someone who don't pay taxes which did not work on any enemies that you would assume it to(vacari, wolfs, etc).
I think
Cazian
needs a nerf since his essence drain made it so he basically could not die. I though the idea of you not being able to save the game and load previous saves was fun but I can also understand players who want to be able to load a previous saves to redo something without starting a new game. So that would probably be a nice QoL feature to add. I see many reviews write that the game is to difficult because of the time management system and depuffs. But honestly that is not true. The game has a good balance in terms of strategy and items powering up your characters. If you gave your characters the right items and use them for the intended strategy then winning a battle was not hard(of course getting 3 starts should be more difficult). If the game was too difficult you could always change it to easy(and now also turn off the time system).
This game is so fun and I truly enjoyed it way more than I expected. The characters are well thought out and I love the way the story evolves as you go through. The character growth is amazing and I enjoyed every second of it.
nix above, what an amazing game. the writing, voice over and humor are so so good and the combat was so so fun. i found myself equally excited both to play through every single battle and to go back to camp to see and hear what everyone in my party was up to or thinking, the writing made them really easy to get attached to. the time management mechanic is interesting, but i have to admit that by mid-game as my party was growing bigger I had to turn it off simply because there wasnt enough time to talk to everybody and i really felt the need to take my time to talk and connect with every single character. and yes, like some people are saying, i also can't help but feel the ending scene
post court
did feel a little bit rushed. it was overall nice though, just lacked a bit of the depth that we see throughout the game, specially with the characters you choose to romance. with all of that said, i would love to see more of ledgerbound in the future (DLC maybe? pretty please?) cause I can't get enough of this universe and these characters. this is lowkey one of the best games i played this year. thank you devs for all the hard work with this one and long live indie games!!!
Spoilers: So, I mostly really enjoyed this game. The characters were interesting, the art was good, the voice acting was fantastic, the gameplay was fun, and the story was mostly well written. The reason I'm giving a negative review is because of the ending. I played this game for 31 hours but the ending really put a sour note on the whole experience. The final battle felt anticlimactic - the whole quest had been leading up to that moment and then the final boss ended up being the easiest fight in the game. The court case was interesting, but what happened afterwards was really lame. I thought it would be a nice ending if Rayna won the court case as she'd set out to do and then left the business behind and went adventuring with her friends/partners. When I got to the option to quit it was greyed out, with no way to choose the option to quit. I had received no warning that winning the court case would grey out the option to quit, in fact up to that point the only time an option had been greyed out was if I hadn't developed enough bond with anyone, so this felt like a huge rug pull. Etheria then suddenly out of nowhere decided she actually hated me, which was fine cause I didn't like her that much anyway, but that also felt like a bit of a rug pull. The final scene lacked any kind of romantic catharsis. There was no meaningful moments between Rayna and the characters I had been romancing, the ending felt as if I could have not bonded with any of them and the final scene would have been effectively the same. I think Joy, Sylvie and Aura might have even only had 1 or 2 lines of dialogue. Essentially all the partners were going to just leave and Rayna was going to be left behind. None of the preceding dialogue about spending life together and exploring new things, keeping each other company, all of that was thrown out the window and had no payoff. I was just really disappointed as I'd been expecting a satisfying ending, but it just felt really rushed and cheap. Because of the lack of save slots there is no way to go back and try and get a different ending, so I'd have to reply it for 30 hours (unless I rush through) to try and get another ending, but honestly I'm not sure if the writers even wrote a satisfying ending in the first place. That is why I'm not recommending the game, I don't think the payoff to the story is worth the time invested in it up to that point. We don't even know what happens to several of the characters after that. Did Sylvie get a pardon from the casters? I romanced her and I don't even know what happened to her after the story, we had max bond and I have no idea how she felt or what she did afterwards. I can intuit that she likely became a hero and I assume she was forgiven for fighting, but why was this not shown? I think it was perhaps as I also romanced other characters and perhaps the dialogue about Jazz at the end was why I didn't hear about Sylvie, but then why have polyamory if it's not going to allow me to have a meaningful emotional connection/ending with all the characters I romanced at the end of the game?
I deeply loved the narrative of this game, it balanced crude humor with genuinely endearing moments and steamy romance. The strategic gameplay was simple but very rewarding, each battle feels like a puzzle to solve. Truly my only issue with the game is the replayability of choices. The whole games works with a single save file that doesn't allow to go back and change decisions. I understand the decision and I do believe it improves the overall feel of the game. I think it would have been nice to have a new game plus or a unlocked sate of the save after finishing the game once. I wanted to explore different resolutions, especially towards the ending of the game but it does out me off having to play the whole game from a new game. I like the game and would probably play it again but I also want to play other things. Having that unlocked save or option would be appreciated rather than having to go on YouTube to see other choices. *** Edit: I just saw on the community hub you are able to go into your game files to manipulate the save state in case of crashes or to check out a different decision. A little bit of a hassle but I'll take it. 9/10
This game is amazing. Super well written and sharp, voice acting is incredible, and the tactics combat is fun!
Quarter way though the game and i've realized due to the incredibly horny purple vaping dragon that i am a scalie thanks ledgerbound
Wasn't expecting this much peak. At first I was afraid the humour was going into borderland territory but it somehow never cross into being juvenile (and the few juvenile jokes are genuinely funny.) The gameplay is not transcendant but it is very solid, the fire emblem inspiration is clear, down to the animation. The true treasure of this game is the MASSIVE amount of dialogue. During rest, I've always wanted to hear what each character thought of the situation. So this merry band of loser really grew on me. The sexual themes in the game are VERY overt and honestly, it's kinda great. It is sometime crass as smut is (something the main character is into) and other time, is very touching and subtle. And really, it's a game about people interacting with each other (and filling paperwork).
