Ledgerbound is a hilarious, narrative-driven tactical RPG/dating sim filled with all your favorite epic fantasy activities: battling evil enemies, filling out paperwork, rescuing your company from financial ruin, pursuing HR-approved relationships, and more!
When the world’s greatest heroes are cut down by an ancient enemy, your company is on the hook for paying out their life insurance claims. That is, unless you can defeat the enemy yourself, proving that those other heroes were simply underprepared—claim denied, baby!
Enjoy punchy dialogue, character-based comedy, and grounded, meaningful conversations that’ll make you fall in love. Or lust. Ideally both.
Engage in strategically dense, grid-based combat to overcome a variety of foes. Customize your team with hundreds of unique abilities, equip corporate swag that boosts your stats, and choose your characters’ promotion paths to unlock powerful new skills.
Just like in real life, time is limited and your choices matter—will you spend your evenings nurturing your blossoming relationships, or will you burn the midnight oil to improve your skills as a tactician? Remember, whatever decisions you make, you’re stuck with forever. FOREVER.
Recruit a ragtag group of weird yet lovable characters, fully voiced by a talented cast of actors who kept saying “wow, this is the horniest thing I’ve ever done.” Then fill out the appropriate HR paperwork so you can get up on them.

Solid so far. Quick playing, funny enough to get a chuckle or a laugh every now and again, tactically it's a variation on Fire Emblem with extra equipment, abilities, etc. Interesting time management system where even things like replaying a battle to try for a better rating (no XP grinding, but it does allow you to get better items and extra scenes) costs a tiny bit of time between combat encounters. Charming and more high polish than you might expect, I'm a big fan of the battle replays being done with the main character's hand drawn pawns and her voicing each important dialogue line throughout the encounter (complete with her own 'interesting' interpretations of their personalities or dialogue, even the selection quotes for other characters). Music is... well, fine? I haven't really noticed it much. Voices are solid to good. Story and spice are very...I want to describe it as being like a tabletop RPG group where everyone's comfortable making sex jokes, and only take the plot seriously in character at particularly dramatic moments. I've been a player at those kinds of tables and had a good time with stuff like picking apart odd phrasing, or intentionally phrasing something in the lewdest way possible. It's very on the nose, and if you're not comfortable with one character mocking another for having a small ♥♥♥♥ in the first 20 minutes in a recounting of how the world's greatest heroes died, or with the main character freaking out about murder despite being assured Heroes can legitimately murder anyone who gets in the way of their Quest, or an HR Rep who's an overt pervert, then you should probably skip. Maybe also skip if you're not okay playing an insurance adjuster whose goal is to make sure that families don't get a payout on their life insurance policy and is slavishly devoted to the company, but I find that kind of thing funny with the way it's written, personally. Difficulty is solid. I'm playing on Terrestial (the second highest difficulty/second skimpiest insurance coverage), and while I've cleared every battle, I haven't been able to 3 star one of them so far. It's a tricky one.
Holy ♥♥♥♥!!!! What a breath of a fresh air in the tactical RPG genre. I have played a lot of Final Fantasy Tactics, Disgaea, and Tactics Ogre and the battle mechanics in this game are very fun. The voice acting is amazing and the dialog is fun. The dating sim aspect of this game is entertaining and executed well. The aesthetic throughout the game really matches the story. This game was executed well from top to bottom. Also, playing via Ubuntu with through Steam/Proton. The game runs well without any issues. Great job. Game has me hooked and going to binge play this game.

Ledgerbound is a semi-competent tactics RPG wearing the shell of satire. Unfortunately, that satire does more to uphold corporatist propaganda and stereotypes than it ever does to tear them down. Full review: https://www.jetsonplaysgames.com/post/ledgerbound-review
It's so cuuute! And funny. And hot. And suprisingly emotional at times. I really loved all the characters of the group. Fantastic voice acting. Gameplay was enjoyable too. Had a few minor issues where bonding scenes didn't match the area I was in, or a few repeating lines, but nothing game- or immersion breaking. An immediate favourite!
Hilarious story, fun strategy, lovable cast!
I just finished my first play through on Steam Deck (worked great btw!). I've already booted up the game again to try a harder difficulty and change up some of my choices/love interest(s). I think this game is well worth your money given the quality of the content. If you're a fan of VNs and your favorite parts of RPGs are the love interests, then this is a must-buy! Pros: - Gorgeous art! - Clever writing with a lot of heart (and ♥♥♥♥ jokes). You can tell it was written by humans who cared a lot about this project <3 It took me about an hour to get invested in the story, but after that I was hooked up until the end! - Unique cast of party members (and LIs). The writing did a masterful job transforming character traits that can feel grating on first meeting into something you eventually come to love about the character (e.g. I wasn't super into Jazz's whole schtick at the start, and but around mid-game she'd transformed into one of my favorites in the party!) - Interesting strategy around combat, and ability to replay battles to retry for missed quest rewards Cons: - Since there's no going back in the story due to autosaves, there were times I accidentally selected the wrong choice, and was locked into it. I was bummed when I messed up a selection on a form and missed out entirely on
a spicy scene with Cazian
- No ability to skip "Read" content on replays. I chose a love interest who was monogamous on my playthrough, and want to play again with other LIs, but unlike other VNs, I can't skip through dialogue I've already seen in a previous run
Funny and highly enjoyable narrative game. Wildly underestimated the depth of it in the beginning and got really sucked into the story. Multiple playthroughs for multiple paths and the option to disable time management are very nice and increase the overall value of the game. The only negative thing I can say about it is, that I wish I had more of it.
