This so called "game" needs to be removed from Steam ASAP as it has been abandoned like everyone has stated in their reviews. But everyone knows that Steam won't remove it because they're greedy and love to rip people off otherwise they wouldn't have lost that major lawsuit last year! Just avoid this one yes it looks good but that's about all it offers is a nice looking game but it does not work it is buggy and laggy as ever. Click "ignore" and move on.
This is attempting to be command and conquer real life. but fails everywhere. forget the acting, forget the slow play. the tutorial alone is slow, over complicates and fails to explain much. 11 hours, and ive gotten no where
Would be fantastic if it didn't softlock requiring a mission restart the majority of the time. really cool idea with good bones, the missions are just really poorly scripted. i really hate to give it a negative review but there's no justifying a positive one given the severe problems it has, plus the devs abandoned it in this state announcing no more updates will be coming.
The game could be great if the developers did their job of debugging the software. You spend so much time getting through a mission just to hit another bug. This product will be sitting on my shelf of never playing again. It is a shame that Steam would allow faulty products like this to be purchased.
Its not often I leave a review, but on occasion I do.... I have recently seen the reviews of this game and there are a lot of negative for what is a great concept, maybe not polished off as well as it could have been but still. Are there bugs? Yes. Do they cause you to have to replay a whole mission on occasion? Also yes. Is it a hard game? Yes. Do you need to take the time to learn it? Yes. Is the tutorial good? No After my first attempt at this game, mission 1, I gave up. A few weeks late I saw one of my favourite movies. "We were Soldiers" based on one of my favorite books, “we were soldiers one, and young” If you know either the book or movie, you will love this game, regardless of the bugs, regardless of the issues. It would not surprise me to learn the dev read this book as a basis for the game. Parts of the game are truly accurate to the real accounts that take place in the book and movie. So after getting my movie fill I picked the game up again, and I spent the time learning the controls, some of which are not intuitive at all, for example, to move unis right click, great! Just like 99% of all RTS however to have that unit enter cover you left click? It took me a while to figure that one out and to this day does not feel right as I feel like i am de-selecting my unit… The ammo mechanic, the cover mechanic, the on map support like HQ mortar fire, and off map support like aircraft are good once you figure out how to use them strategically. You cant just sit and napalm the trees constantly as firstly they burn away, and secondly you have limited resources, but think strategically and you will find you can manage these quite well. The Company level up system is really quite genius, the better a company fights and the longer it lives the better the individual soldiers level up which in turn levels up the company. Trying to keep your company alive rather than just back filling with raw recruits makes it a much tougher nut to be cracked, so Picking up your wounded and getting them recovered and re-deployed is worth the effort. As you level the company up you can have an ever increasing number of troops in the company, for example you may level it up and it will let you increase the numbers by 10 riflemen, 2 heavy weapons, ect and all of this carries on mission to mission persistently meaning by the end you can have some pretty good companies. I have had my share of bugs including game breaking ones where it says “wipe out these people” and there are no people because they are all dead or didn’t spawn. Or the opposite where they just keep spawning and never actually stop. So yes there are bad points and some bugs I think the dev could have fixed but I also think there is a lot more good than bad and when you actually get into it, its a game you will struggle to put down. I have played for over 8 hours straight through twice and fully intent on picking it up for a 3rd go through in the coming weeks. To the Dev, don't let negativity stop you from working on this, use the feedback constructively, true reviews will give you the bad to help you make the game better, reviews that are just a rant about the game and don't give you anything useful ignore. Listen to the ones that want to help you
game dose not let me or others pass the main menu we cant continue or start a new game fix this issue or refunnd people there money
This game could be good... if it worked.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY THE GAME DOESNT WORK RIGHT ANYMORE!!!!
umm idk whats wrong with the game right now but whenever i click on new game the button turns yellow like im clicking on it but it brings up nothing not an option to pick a save just nothing i really hope someone has a fix this game looks really fun (my pc can run this game and ive uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times)
The game is really fun and one of a kind in my opinion. I think that the creators have something good going here. However, be cautious this game has ALOT of bugs in it. I honestly think it needs a few tweaks or patches, but all in all id give it a solid 3.5/5 rating. The rating is only down because of the bugs as well as the save option. When a bug hits you essentially have to start the entire mission all over and its a bit of a pain.
