Leashed Soul

I got this game as part of a bundle and decided to give it a try, I should point out that I rarely play puzzle games unless I get them in a bundle (and very rarely play them for more than an hour) so any opinion I give it coming from someone who doesn't even particularly like the genre. Pros: - Clean graphics - Pleasant music - Simple concept that gets the brain working Cons: - I would have liked to have been able to move the camera on bigger levels so I could actually plan my route first time around rather than going into it guessing - I'm under the impression that the whole point of the walls is to restrict movement to one direction so I'm assuming this is a glitch? http://steamcommunity.com/id/dockerr/screenshot/838084790288105393 - No groundbreaking mechanics found compared to any other puzzler within the first 20 levels but that's not to say that won't be the case in the next 30 levels - Tag says story rich but I haven't seen anything to suggest this other than an intro explaining the story behind the game which was relatively short, I think this tag may be misleading... - Would have liked to be able to stop a path while it is already going, nothing worse than doing half the level, making a slight mistake and realising .5 seconds too late to do anything about it because you let go of the mouse button Overall it was a nice puzzle game that had good difficulty progression (although it might be slightly too slow for the avid puzzle game player) and although I won't play it again as I'm not a fan of puzzlers, I would happily recommend it to someone who is at the full price of £3.99. Anyone should be able to complete at least half the game within the refund time and decide if they like it for themselves so you have nothing to lose, give it a try!

Bought in a bundle, seemed nice. Clearly a mobile platform port, the controls are obviously ment to be touch based and you can feel it. (There is even a battery saver option in the settings.) Because of this I can not reccoment it for PC. On a mobile platform it could be a nice time waster.

a typical 'draw a line across the level and remove all removable blocks' kinda puzzler with 50 easy levels, executed so horribly it's impossible to recommend. the character moves at a snail's pace, camera movement is so slow it's almost non-existant and it re-centers as soon as the guy starts moving (zooming the camera out more or letting players do it would've fixed this), you can slide off ice blocks and fail a level even though you're supposed to slide towards the next block, and there's no undo even though it was promised. there are separate volume sliders, but effects still play if you turn them down, and while I'm not one to care about graphics too much, especially in a puzzler, the game simply looks cheap, though turning off shadows helped somewhat. the only positive I can say is you can automate movement by setting a path and watch the level slowly play out, saves on a lot of clicking, but there's no way to cancel a planned path, only by going back to where you started, block by block, and you have to do most levels in chunks, have to stop at buttons or intersections or whatever. speaking of buttons, you can only find out what they do if you set a path on them, a simple mouseover does nothing, and since not every button is accessible from the start, there's some trial & error on a few levels. even if you're looking for a short and easy puzzle game, don't bother with this.

Easy concept, nice graphics and great music. Few issues, but no deal breakers.

First of all I love this because I can actually do it. But I think the best feature is the editor. I would make using the editor a kids' digital project. If they can build this, they are one up, in my opinion.

Leashed Soul is a very challenging game. But not because the puzzles are hard, but because you must struggle with the controls and with the slowness of the character. Cheap, bought in a bundle, trading cards, played as a casual activity while listening to some podcasts, actually as a second activity. Otherwise it would have been very very boring. Bottom line is that I can't really recommend it.

[h1] The World it crumbles beneath my feet [/h1] Leashed Soul is Hamiltonian Path Puzzle. An Android port, of a game free on Google play. Those games where you need to step over all the units in a grid, once. I've seen some on Steam too. A few of them, merged with other genres, taking a platformer approach. Leashed Soul is closer to the classic type, of course with its own special blocks and main objective, that revolves around creating life by planting a seed at the end of each level. [b] Gameplay: [/b] As it is solely a [i] puzzle[/i] game, There is less urgency and more time analyzing the grid and constructing a mental path. With that, comes a game better played with a mouse or the touchscreen in its original android release. Even though Partial controller support is there (No luck with DS4 unfortunately). The [i] level design [/i] is creative enough, there are a few blocks introduced as the seasons change, but there isn't much to keep track off. The game is a bit too easy, and the difficulty increase isn't very consistent. Makes it quite accessible for young players, but it won't pose many challenges. The ice levels have a small [i] bug [/i], makes me feel uneasy, The character´s legs slide all over the place, sometimes shifting out of the block. Once it happens, there is always that fear when crossing an ice platform, missing a block and having to reset the map. [b] Graphics/art style: [/b] Fairly good for android. On PC it's mostly the art style and presentation that stands out. The menu alone looks neat. Showing A tree over a trunk like steam pipe, with all the levels. Gives a rise of industrialization look. Contrast between nature and whatever steampunk world this is. Does a better job than the level themselves. [b] Music/sound [/b] The same continuous Piano track. very faint and relaxing. It's just there to give some ambient sound. Otherwise it would just be the sound of falling blocks. First impression will be "Is this Final Fantasy Tactic"? Then, it is not. It is fun game with overall good puzzle and soothing background music.
