Extremely good game. My great grandpa was a legionnaire. I feel this does him justice.

A good game, decent RTS with some novel elements (more associated with the campaign story than game mechanics). There are a couple of things that really get under my skin though: 1.) Units do not feel well differentiated. While they get different skills, their behavior in combat does not feel different. For example; Scouts, equipped with sniper rifles, have the same functional engagement range (not sure if true in backend, but in reality this is what I have found) as all other units. They are ONLY useful for their binocular scouting ability, otherwise they are squishy not able to provide the role of a sniper/scout. 2.) Still forming my thoughts and how best to convey them. Continuing to play while I mull it.

The visuals, atmosphere, and narrative I enjoyed most in this game. A very interesting history I surelywant to read more about. The tactical gameplay I liked as well (especially the first 50 hours), but the stealth aproach using scouts in combat got kind of repetative (but its clearly the best and safest option). The management part was very good and you have to work hard to keep the train and your soldiers in shape. The game did crash a few times, but luckely I saved often. My first playthough took more than 60 hours doing almost all side missions and objectives.

Я люблю стратегии. С этой игрой у вас вряд-ли появится чувство, будто поезд стал вашим домом, но вы определенно захотите довести состав до конечной точки. Здесь не особо раскрываются персонажи, как в RPG играх, но вы захотите сохранить всех солдат живыми, собрать всех найденных легионеров и не смотря на опасность не выгнать никого на мороз. У вас будет достаточно ресурсов, но вы будете недовольны, когда после вылазок в заброшенные деревни, после охоты или рыбалки, вам не принесут ничего. Микроменеджмент. Здесь есть прокачка бойцов, улучшения состава, улучшения вещей, крафт.. и половина из этого просто не нужна. Скорее всего у вас: снайпер останется снайпером, врач сидит в лазарете, машинист еще с начала пути и до конца останется машинистом. Вариативно перебрасывать десяток бойцов на вылазки, улучшения и ремонт состава. Боевая система посредственна. Враги реагируют с задержкой, стелс особо не нужен, главное играть от укрытия, использовать снайперов и гранаты. Амуниции хватает всегда, выбор оружия минимален и дает небольшую прибавку в огневой мощи. Не смотря на откровенную клюкву история интересна. Старайтесь абстрагироваться от клюквы, в том историческом отрезке все было окрашено в серые цвета, а не красные, белые, черные, зеленые, звездно-полосатые. Один раз пройти можно, перепроходить смысла нет, можете сразу начинать на максимальном уровне сложности. Тема арбузов Бабы Яги не раскрыта.

This game is so good, but not perfect. As some people say it's very easy to exploit the AI once you have 5 snipers. But you can just not do that and play the game properly. I love the little stories and thd desperation. Really gives great immersion. If you are into tactics and strategy games with a great war story based on real life events to boot. You can't miss with this title.

The game has some good elements but the overall gameplay is more stressful than fun.

This game is surprisingly good. I really respect the developers' decision to keep the dialogue in Czech, even though I don't understand a single word. Fortunately, the subtitles solve that problem perfectly. The lore is captivating, and I became interested enough in the story to do some research. I discovered that there really were trains full of Czechs crossing Russia during the October Revolution, which made the game even more fascinating. Overall, the game is solid. I encountered a few minor bugs, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by saving and reloading. The graphics are good, I'd give them a 4/5. My only complaint is that the zoom is too limited. I also would have liked to see more character development for some of the train's soldiers, even if they aren't based on historical figures. As for the combat system, the AI isn't exactly impressive. Sometimes soldiers run almost randomly toward the enemy, stop in the open, and get themselves killed. The enemies, on the other hand, are weaker and fewer than I expected, even on the highest difficulty. A complete journey across Russia took me around 25 hours. Once you reach the end, that's basically it: no DLC, no expansions, and no side content that would encourage another playthrough. That's probably the biggest downside of the game. That said, I had a lot of fun and genuinely loved the experience. I would recommend this game to anyone, especially casual players. It doesn't require constant attention, you can stop playing at any time and pick it up again later without losing track of what's happening. The price is a little high for my pockets, so I waited and bought it on sale. However, after playing it, I can honestly say it's worth the full €40.

One of the best games I have ever played. I am normally not into this genre but I have heavily enjoyed it. Best paried with the book:The March of the 70,000 which tells the real story. Must play for any fan of history or anyone who hates communist swine. The game is like a survival sim on the world map, almost like frostpunk but better. While the RTS style gameplay in missions is good. This game is very difficult if you play it how you will play. I will say the healing/management of some of the train mechanics is not very intuitive and you will need to pay attention and you will probably lose some people figuring out how to do something. Inside missions my only real complaint is the stealth, it works and is pretty good but sometimes objects you can hide behind are not very obvious. Walls youd think you would crouch behind will not hide you, only provide cover. This can be very frustrating on some of the urban maps before you figure it out. The other major struggle that exists on missions is when you try to kill someone on a machine gun or artillery piece, it seems nearly impossible to kill them without destroying the position. But when you do and you get to turn the red armies weapons against themselves it leads to some very fun gameplay.
