Reviews

It's like Path Of Exile but for 5 year olds
Beyond the Krafton controversy, the game still feels not that good to play. Bugs are scattered throughout the campaign, endgame mechanics excluding weaver tree feel like "add x mobs to maps/ go to separate map' without any uniqueness, monoliths feel like a chore to grind, skills and art style make the game feel clunky/floaty, endgame gear grind becomes "wait for X legendary to drop Y LP", the warpath squeak dear god, etc. I did like the simplicity of crafting and the solo self found faction (CoF) as it makes the game feasible to play offline or without the need to interact with the competitive market prices. Also item filter customization in game was great.
Too causal for my liking
Malgré tout ça, j'apprécie réellement *Last Epoch*.
Just like PoE, this game will get better as they add more contents. I will check on this gem from time to time.
I recommend Last Epoch, but it’s honestly a hard game to fully recommend because it has some big issues. The gameplay itself is really fun. The combat feels satisfying, the classes are interesting, and the build customization is one of the best parts of the game. There are a lot of possibilities, and experimenting with skills and builds is genuinely addictive. If you like ARPGs like Diablo or Path of Exile, there’s a lot here to enjoy. The progression also feels rewarding, and the game does a good job making you want to keep improving your character and trying new combinations. But the biggest problem for me is the presence of pay-to-fast/pay-for-convenience mechanics, which really hurts the experience. Even if it’s not full pay-to-win, having systems that push faster progression or convenience through monetization leaves a bad taste and takes away from what could’ve been an amazing ARPG experience.
