It took me a while to figure out the controls, despite the instructions on screen. After getting that sorted, it seems that playing well doesn’t matter that much. The game is brute-forceable: if you just spam the controls with no rhythm whatsoever, you can still pass the level. I found the music rather repetitive, and your actions don’t really interact with the music. Picking up the molecules just makes a “tsch” sound but doesn’t add anything musically. Only in the harmonisation phase do your actions really seem to relate to the melody. The story is just some generic stills and objects from human life. I got bored with it after 70 minutes, didn’t play through all of it. It’s not terrible but I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe it’s more fun with motion controls. I played with a Switch pro controller.
Main gripe with this is the visuals. They use a bunch of random objects that don't fit with the trance theme. It just breaks the immersion. As if instead of paying someone to create assets that fit the theme, they chose to use random assets they had. Imagine this, you get at the end of a run and a big brown teddy bear pops up. They could of at least applied a filter to those object. And all the assets could of used more polish honestly, it looks cheap. Game is also very short. Gameplay and music are good. I recommend Rez instead.
May be a better game with motion controls, having yellow notes on white background make this game more of an eye test then a rhythm game
If you like games like REZ, you'll probably like this one. Pulse pounding music as you interact with it to help make more. This is a solid entry in that sort of style. Good music, a good style, interesting conceptually with the visuals as you play. I enjoyed it. The one other thing I'll mention, you'll probably play through all the levels in around 90 minutes, and I didn't have interest in replaying them as of yet.
The models are a bit dated, but it's a fun hour and a half or so. I'd suggest Laserlife when it's reduced in price. $10 is a bit much for something so short.
ITS GUD
Really enjoyed my session chilling to this game last night. It's kind of a cross between a rhythm and a first-person runner game. It's tiring on the thumbs and hard to play for a long time but good in short bursts.
Very relaxing game to play, soundtrack is awesome and visuals are fantastic. The game is short but enjoyable, there are three levels of difficulty, so you can replay it if you want
Хорошая, совсем не сложная, расслабляющая. Проходится меньше чем за два часа! Красивые картинки в конце каждого этапа (так называемые "воспоминания").
