Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay here: I don't bother doing videos for games like this This is one of the laziest arena shooters I have played in VR ever. It has an arcade mode, an endless mode, and a shop. The shop is just basically different colored lasers. The arcade mode is 4 levels of 5 waves each. Each arena is small. It took me about 10 minutes to finish all the arcade levels. There's only one enemy. The guns look slightly different, but otherwise behave exactly the same. I didn't bother with the endless mode. You don't need to slow time because that'll only increase the amount of time spent playing this game. You basically just shoot the UFOs.There's no strategy or tactics. You just shoot them down and they spawn in different spots. Sometimes they spawn behind objects. Did I have any fun? Nope. Is this game worth $4.99 USD? Nope. Did I get this game free? Yup. Do I still feel ripped off? Yup. Rate 3/10.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. A nice casual blast-em-up, if you're looking for something straight to the point and aesthetically pleasing, this is a good pick
such a blast i cannot wait to see new updates im already having a ton of fun
Good VR fun. Clean, simple gameplay and it feels like you're in Tron.
After about 20 minutes with Laserboy VR, I’m impressed by its vibrant synthwave aesthetic and tight, satisfying laser combat. The neon visuals and pulsing soundtrack create a hypnotic rhythm that makes each encounter feel energetic and immersive. The core mechanics are intuitive and fun, striking a great balance between precision shooting and chaotic movement. That said, the movement still feels a bit clunky at times, and the visual effects can get overwhelming during heavy action. Hit detection could use clearer feedback too. Still, it’s a stylish, promising start that definitely makes me want to keep playing and see how the gameplay develops.
Laserboy VR is a blast! The core mechanics are easy to learn, super fun and intuitive, and each map feels thoughtfully designed with its own theme. I had the most fun using the shield power-up—it adds a whole new layer of strategy and just feels awesome to use. Looking forward to jumping into the new content soon. Definitely worth checking out if you're into VR games that are easy to pick up but hard to put down!
I picked up Laserboy VR from the under-$5 section just to try it out, and honestly, it’s been a ton of fun. I’ve only played about 20 minutes, but it’s got this cool neon vibe, and sometimes it’s just fun to blast enemies with lasers in slow moootion while groovy music plays. Nothing too serious — just jump in, shoot stuff, and have a good time. Definitely gonna play more soon. TLDR: having a blast
