Landflix Odyssey

[u]2020 Speedy Review Cleanup[/u] Do I [i]highly[/i] recommend this game? No. But [i]Landflix Odyssey[/i] is interesting solely for its parody aspects about the shows. Each show has its own mechanics so that it doesn't feel like you're doing the same thing throughout the game. Worth a try on sale if you're interested in the show aspects. If you don't care about the shows, probably look elsewhere.

Un prodotto italiano che vale sicuramente la pena di comprare, meglio ancora se in sconto. Un platform 8bit divertente, con la giusta dose di bestemmie e morti ripetute ma non impossibile da completare. Divertenti i riferimenti alle serie tv, ma i complimenti vanno soprattutto al level design che riesce a non annoiare mai, alternando livelli di tipo diverso come quelli sui mezzi di trasporto o le boss battle. Bel lavoro!

Worth a try.

Badly design and poorly tuned. Poor controls and inconsistent visual language. Relies on the "oh, right, I have to die here and remember that" mechanic too much. I'm sure the devs can finish it in a heartbeat but this lacks a lot of polish and balancing that would have made it a solid platformer. I'll keep plugging away at it, but it's a very frustrating experience, if only because underneath it, there are some good ideas.

The parody of Netflix and some well-known series such as Stranger Things and Game of Thrones is a nice idea for this Plattformer. The levels mostly feel good. It's also good for people who aren't pros as it saves often and you don't have to replay as much. However, there are some nasty parts where I don't understand why the developer went to such extremes here. But since you can buy individual "episodes" with the coins you collect (a nice feature), you don't always have to play the same level. Thumbs up and I hope it gets a few more players!

Quick Description: -Landflix Odyssey is an action platformer that has a decent amount of pop culture references. This game was probably made by a very small Indie team, and that is something that the devs should absolutely be proud of. Unfortunately, the Indie scene is heavily oversaturated, making it incredibly difficult to stand out. While there is some charm in this game, there are tons of free games on Steam that I think are of higher quality, than this $15 action platformer. Consensus: -Bottom Shelf Game (Tier 5 and makes up 10% of my reviews). I really hate not recommending games on Steam, especially when they are games made by small teams. However, this is just not one I'm comfortable recommending to ppl. Even if it were free, there are lots of higher quality games available that would be a better use of your time.
