About
Land Drifters is an idle game about exploring new islands, leveling up new skills, and unlocks through progression!
The world is set in a medieval-style setting with many trade-skills to help you progress through the game. Mine precious ore and craft your strongest armor, battle against monsters to unlock new areas to explore. Claim your ship and set sail and drift to new lands to uncover their story with plenty of mysteries to uncover!
Lots of skills and tons of masteries to level up. Whether fishing mighty beasts, working with specific metals in smithing, honing your swordsmanship, or obtaining poison resistance through exposure, there will be a lot for you to enjoy and progress.
There are also plenty of side activities to unlock and keep you busy if you choose while you make progress. Claim rewards with an optional cosmetic currency you earn to spend in the game. Many of these activities range from fun games that challenge you in many ways, like speed, spatial memory, language, and more.

Exceptional game. As others have said it's a mix of NGU Idle and Melvor but I'd say its closer to the former. It's really good if you're patient and looking for a long-term idle game that so far at least seems to have some decent depth and addicting aspects. EDIT: Still great. Seemed like it had balance issues but it all evens out once you unlock most of the game's mechanics.
A unique idle game in the lots-of-content subgenre. If you like collectathons and idle games, you should like this. The content has both structure and variety, and the fact that it's all connected to things on the world map makes it a lot more engaging compared to games where you just unlock one menu after another. The art is all handdrawn pixel art. Very consistent style. There's A LOT of it, so not everything is finished yet for the later content, but it seems to be something the devs put a lot of effort in! Note it's still in EA, but the devs have fixed nearly all bugs reported within a day, sometimes within the hour (depends on if they're asleep or not - clearly real humans). They're constantly balancing things based on feedback, so this game should become one of the big idle games eventually. It's the first time I've participated in the early days of a big idle game, which has been fun! If you play idle games with speedhack like me, rejoice! Because this game is well optimized and can run at a consistent ~50x speed on my computer. I have played for 50h and still haven't finished all the content, so go figure how much content there is if you play at normal speed!
A relatively slow playing idle game, it does benefit from active play but that's mostly for getting some thing-or-other over the hump before letting idle take over, or getting new tasks rolling. From the idle games I've played, I'd compare it to IdleOn, but considerably less overwhelming. Dev is taking a lot of feedback into mind regarding QOL and smoothness of play. Examples and subjects still in need of fix: Hold click for active play instead of clicking each and every time, resolved. Insufficient inventory, added via leatherworking and then additional inventory added after that when it wasn't sufficient. Quest board order did not reflect linear unlock order, now corrected. 3/4 classes are unlocked really really late compared to how early you unlock crafting that is locked to that class, which is just kind of awkward. Lack of hover information on unavailable options feels unfinished rather than mysterious. Initial 15 minutes of gameplay is abysmally slow, and it's easy to miss the unlockable combat just below the starting area if you're not expecting it, I'd say about 5 more minutes of tutorial would help, perhaps a few popup tutorials for the very first equipable combat gear and gathering gear as well. XP in gathering is not based on damage done (flat) but damage done (% of target gatherable's health pool), which is mostly awkward because it means junk levels fishing faster than fish does, which feels weird. Edit to add: Currently no in-game "exit game" button. But I am enjoying it, I like the steady slow "always making progress", the "should I upgrade that storage or use the material at this point?", the incremental improvement.
I'm sorry for being a ***** about this game but these still stand. It is wonderful and I should have read the damn tags first. 1: I have not ONCE had over-full inventory, and when you do get storage, it's cost so much that you just feel like you have to use it now or all those resources have gone to waste. [taking account of the developer's response, the cost seems to be very worth] 2: Why is it you can find plentiful Silver ore before you can use it for something other than selling it? [this ties in with storage] 3: why is it that you need so many Crystals* to get things and then you end up getting 40 off of the map(some things can cost downwards of 50 and upwards of 500)[they respawn, past me] 4(note): my sincerest apologies for tearing into your game, and I wish your development well [combat also has actives, and there is a starting tannery. I am stupid, and thank you for noting the text in brackets in a response(loosely)]
great idle game to lose track of time on
Really fun game, with a super addictive game loop and comprehensive idle reward mechanisms. There is a fairly large world to explore that is filled with various activities, minigames, crafting, gathering and combat. So far the developer has been super active with regularly updates is highly engaged with his players. There appears to be a lot of depth to this game that has kept me engaged and craving more.

good.
good game
I am really enjoying this game, the pace feels right for what I'm looking for. It uses a similar ecosystem to many of the RuneScape Idlers but has enough variety and uniqueness to keep me going for probably a while longer. There is plenty to do and manage if you want to be active but you can also leave it for a day and many things will just keep running without you needing to be there. I would recommend this for someone who is a fan of idle games.
