Lake Haven - Chrysalis

Lake Haven Chrysalis was an awesome experience from start to finish. If your a fan of the Silent Hill movies or games or classic Resident Evil games , you'll definitely love this. The game has that same tense, creepy atmosphere where your constantly on edge, solving puzzle's, and trying to survive 10/10.

11/10 teaser of what's to come for Lake Haven! Phenomenal job Encrypt Games!! Master class of an eerie atmospheric game that has it's own identity while honoring the classics like SILENT HILL. ^^

Great Indie Game. I felt a lot of the Inspiration for it by my experience with similar games. Yet it does it's own thing and makes it's own story with the foundation of other franchises/series. The Atmosphere and Sounds are superb, however, the gameplay felt a bit to tedious for my liking. It felt like I was just going back and forth between two locations constantly, where there was another location that could have been used a bit more apart from the one time you go. Also the story was also a bit to confusing near the end. I feel that it is building something grand with it's little notes here and there, but it is basing this off of the audience it wants to reach, so I won't complain there. Overall, wonderful experience and highly worth the price! Here's to the full game being a masterpiece!

Да, понятное дело, что закос под первый сайлент, да, понятное дело, что таких игр с PS1 графикой щас куча, но именно этот проект выделяется от всех своей атмосферой, которую очень скрупулёзно передал автор. Игра проходится достаточно быстро, но это достаточно интересный опыт с необычным сюрреалистично-психоделическим финалом в конце. Советую поиграть.

Very cool game if your a fan of older Silent Hill and Resident Evil games. I'm looking forward to updates.

Very nice, short intro/prologue. Nice visuals, strong ambience, solid character models, and a bit of humor. The game has a certain charm, and the overall vibe (as many people have already pointed out) is very X-Files/Twin Peaks. I’m honestly surprised more horror games don’t lean into that. Overall, it feels like an authentic PS1 game, but in a good way - similar in quality to Alisa (another horror game that’s more strange than scary). The puzzles are a bit on the shallow side, though, even for an intro. For the most part, it boils down to “get key → use key → get another key → use that key.” There’s definitely room for improvement. (Also: nice Silent Hill easter egg. I only found that stupid needle by pure accident and it wasn't where I found it on my second run.)

A short but very solid gameplay slice. Very clearly inspired by Silent Hill and Twin peaks, and it pulls it off very well. I'm very excited to see where this goes when the full game drops!
