A murder. A hack. A bombing. All it takes to plunge the solar system into war – unless you do something about it. Help CDI agent Neil Conrad make a string of increasingly difficult decisions in this modern dialog-driven adventure set in a gorgeous 2D sci-fi noir universe.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Another cigarette tumbles into the abyss.
The sun is slowly coming up, glistening in the sea of buildings below.
I look up at the stars one last time before they disappear.
They don't provide any guidance. They don't give a f*ck.
I have to make this decision on my own, and very soon.
Problem is, I don't know how. I've never been able to figure out why I do what I do. Not really.
No more time to think. I have to go.
You are Neil Conrad, CDI agent. Awoken by the news of a murder, you rush into a case that will soon turn your life and the whole solar system upside down. Ask questions, collect evidence, and put the pieces together until the ugly truth reveals itself... or not.
The story branches and ends based on your actions. There's no going back. Sure, you can rush your way to the end – if you don't mind paying the price. Play your cards right, and you might make it out alive.
Some questions don't have a right answer. Will you sell out a friend to protect your family? Will you endanger a loved one in exchange for public safety? Will you keep the peace or reveal the horrible, world-shattering truth?
While the classics were great in their time, Lacuna does away with the baggage of many adventure game tropes:
Pointing & clicking Platformer movement controls (WASD / controller)
Selecting all dialog options one by one anyway Non-repeating conversations and choices
Inventory management and counter-intuitive puzzles Immersive, story-driven mysteries
Pixel hunting Optional outlines on anything interactable
Story grinds to a halt at every puzzle can always be driven forward
"x will remember this" Real choices and multiple endings

Lacuna

Nice Futuristic Adventure Title

Worth a try
Lacuna is a short point-and-click detective game set in a futuristic universe surrounded by conspiracies, political intrigue, and mystery. This game has a fairly linear story set across a series of separate chapters that gradually build upon each other. It doesn’t have a traditional save system like other point-and-click games, where you can save your progress at any time. Instead, the game automatically saves your progress within a chapter once you complete it, meaning that seeing other dialogue options or paths within a chapter requires playing it from the start again.
Gameplay
Lacuna is a choice-driven adventure title where most puzzles and clues are solved through dialogue options, which you can choose when interrogating witnesses or speaking with other detectives. The game is engaging and quite easy to follow. The story never feels overwhelming, and it maintains a good pace throughout the experience. On the other hand, in some cases, we are given the choice to take action to solve certain problems, meaning we mostly just watch our character interact in conversations. It doesn't include any particularly complex mechanics. Instead, the game provides a set of oversimplified tools for gathering information and solving puzzles, such as an email system, news reports, and note sheets. The detective mode included in the game doesn't feel particularly unique, as many of the dialogue options it provides feel like they could have been obtained simply by interacting with an object. It honestly feels unnecessary, as it only slows the character down and adds an extra step to the check information.
Art and World Design
The game's visual style has a minimalist approach with a nice pixel art design. This style is particularly well executed in the environments, character designs, and atmospheric visual effects. It is impressive how much visual variety and detail the game manages to create with so little. Unfortunately, this style does not always work as well during some of the game's more serious or tense moments, as the characters can appear stiff or rather expressionless. I suppose this is a recurring issue in other games with similar visual styles. This was addressed in the game by including character portraits to better express their emotions, which works well in most of the dialogue interactions.
Music and Sound effects
The soundtrack is very unique and genuinely enjoyable. The music also changes appropriately during more tense or important moments, making these scenes feel more impactful. Despite being set in a futuristic universe, the game features an organic soundtrack with jazz-inspired tracks, alongside some more modern themes with electronic elements. The audio design is just as good as the soundtrack, The soundscape of the environments is quite detailed with ambient sounds that make each location feel more alive.

像素画面+爵士配乐,全是我的菜。剧情还行,值得玩一玩。
Überraschend gutes Spiel. Wenn man Spiele mit diesem Pixel-Style mag, 10/10. Sehr gute Story, man meint man spielt einen Film
Muy bueno eh, Saito sos mi gout.
Truth hides in silence Every clue reshapes justice Choices leave their mark
