About
Embark on a heart-pounding journey into the realm of nightmares with Labyrinthine, a cooperative horror game that will make you question your every step. Gather your courage and team up with friends as you enter the abandoned Happisburg hedge maze, or dive headfirst into the spine-chilling case files, where every investigation leads to unspeakable horrors.
Prepare to be gripped by fear as you encounter a variety of unique monsters, each with their own sinister AI and mechanics. Stay on your toes as you traverse the maze's twisted paths and unravel the dark secrets that lie within.

Labyrinthine offers two distinct gaming experiences. In the story mode, you will follow the enigmatic trail of Joan, the mysterious fairground worker, uncovering the maze's haunting history and facing terrifying challenges together.
However, if you're seeking the ultimate test of bravery, venture into the case files – procedurally generated mazes that promise endless variation and escalating difficulty. Each investigation reveals new horrors, forcing you to adapt and strategize with your fellow players. Solve puzzles, gather essential items, and survive the nightmarish encounters that await.
As you delve deeper into the case files, you will discover a leveling system that unlocks not only new monsters and maps but also rare cosmetics.
With cooperative play at its core, Labyrinthine encourages teamwork and communication to overcome the malevolent forces that lurk in the shadows. But be warned, in this maze of terror, splitting up may be your only chance to stay one step ahead of the lurking evils.
If you are a true horror enthusiast, Labyrinthine promises an experience like no other. Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of dread and anticipation as you navigate the ever-changing maze, surrounded by the unknown.
Are you ready to face the darkness together, or will you succumb to the horrors that await? Step into Labyrinthine and find out if you have what it takes to escape the nightmare.

I have a soft spot for Labyrinthine. I originally found this game after Phasmophobia was getting stale a couple of years ago, and Labyrinthine scratched that fun, indie, horror itch. With Phasmophobia only getting worse, I've never seen a reason to go back, but I always come back to Labyrinthine. The story mode was decent and there's a good amount of content for 6 chapters. But for me, the best part of this game was multiplayer with friends, ESPECIALLY when you start creating your own case files in your lobby with a variety of monsters to screw with your friends. *Side note: you unlock monsters for custom cases by facing that specific monster a certain number of times in regular case files, the wiki tells you what maps can have what monsters.* With over 200 hours in this game, I've gotten to do just about everything and spent the last 100-150 hours trying to get all of the cosmetics (which is a nightmare to try if you want all the seasonal cosmetics too). Without a doubt, this is my favorite game to play with friends, even if all we can do now is search for cosmetics. This game has more than enough content to get you through at least your first 50 hours of playtime. The devs do plan to add more content to the game soon, which I'm very excited for and is my only major critique, given I've played the game too much to do much else besides cosmetics. If I had to offer any critiques or things I would say the game still needs (outside of more content to come soon), I'd like to see more upgrade options and tools or items or cosmetics to buy in the store, because the store is almost useless once you've played the game for a little while. The only other critique I'll make is about their cosmetics odds, ESPECIALLY their seasonal cosmetic odds. They feel a bit low, like 30% chance of getting a seasonal cosmetic from my play testing over the last year. I can't stand playing for a half hour to an hour and seeing sometimes as few as one seasonal cosmetic, which of course I probably already have and haven't gotten a new one after 4 days of playthrough. All base cosmetics in the game have a chance of appearing in a case file (even during seasonal events), even ones you already have (I swear if I get one more visor!..). I'd like to see seasonal cosmetic odds go up and lower the odds of repeat cosmetics showing up (or at the very least cosmetics that are repeats for the lobby leader so at least SOMEONE has a better chance of getting something new). It's a bit sad playing the game for a few hours and getting NOTHING new. But these are more minor, considering content is king, and there's PLENTY of it and more to come. I can't recommend this game enough for people who want a fun, indie horror game to goof off with friends!
9/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For the price it's fun with friends, if you're not playing it for the story. It will get a little stale after a while.
Amazing game to play with friends. You get what you put into it, meaning its ten times better with friends. 10/10 made great memories on this game.
It's been a while since I had so much fun with friends. Worth it to spend some good time with your buddies
Just Don't
.
This game is a fun game to play thru with a friend in the middle of the night
the multiplayer is completely dead unfortunately.
