La Llorona Wants Your Soul

The game involves a group of friends who want to prove the existence of La Llorona, a vengeful ghost lady from the Mexican lore. Sadly, despite interesting setting, the game is poorly done because it relies on various building blocks that don’t work together and cause bugs. First of all, the game makes use of pre-made assets that you have most likely seen in other games, such as the dark mansion with barred doors and corridors. Second, it employs the generic horror UI with a throbbing heart, a diary with objectives, and, worst of all, a lighter and flashlight that require batteries or fuel to work. I am not sure why developers think it’s a good idea to include this ridiculous mechanic. These games always require you to search for items in the dark, and once you lose all sources of light, you are pretty much stuck and unable to do anything. But while you can get over the mostly borrowed assets, the game falls apart on technical level. Optimization is always bad with these games, so this one doesn’t change that. The major problem are bugs, lack of objectives, and invisible walls. For instance, you need to shoot someone, but the game doesn’t show that you’re making progress. I emptied entire clip and it felt like nothing was happening. Then you have invisible walls in doorways. While I managed to overcome one by crouching, another prevents progress and makes the game uplayable. I see this as a school project or a test for the developer to see how games work. It's a learning experience because the game is broken. I'm not sure if anything is original in this game, so paying such a high price is definitely not worth it.

wow, so many things wrong. For starters more than half the stuff in the trailer isn't in the game. anything in the daylight isn't. so basically False Advertising. Optimisation is poor and i have an RTX 4090. why are there 3 VHS tapes in the mansion when 2 are duplicates and none are labelled to add to the confusion. you can just walk through any wooden door. you can turn the valve in the Mansion basement without the gear, you can't turn down the sounds you want like ambient noise or the annoying AI voices. there's a painting in the mansion you can turn for no apparent reason. the clues like "go to the main entrance" do nothing as when I think i was done the game I wandered around looking for the reason why I was directed there. and that was the last clue i got. I never found a way out past the bookcase into the backyard which I know is the exit. the flashlight dies really fast and you wander around with the lighter which only lights up 5ft in front of you. Something is wrong with the ending. if you go to the main entrance, there's nothing there and no more clues. the front door says I need to find another way in ? But I'm trying to get out, I'm pretty sure it was supposed to say that when you were outside the door at the start. has anyone actually found the way out ? I'll leave comments in here so I can get a reply. If you found a way out I'd like to see what I did wrong. other than that. I just wasted my time playing a broken game

If you love the story of "La Llorona", then don't play this game. This is a poorly made game with AI VOs, generic assets, & low effort that's a total disrespect to the legendary tale and culture.

After replaying this game all I can say is this game is a really good game. The combat with the PADRE is super fun infused with a really great and engaging storyline. Lots of Scares and What the... moments. I really enjoyed the mansion section. Really enjoyed the whole lore in general! The Documents in-game were really interesting and I really found myself in love and lost in this world again! All sections in the game were a blast and I really had a great experience running through this game again. I just love the LLorona screaming ..."Donde estan mi hijos?" PROS ✅Great OST (LLORONA SONG is lovely) ✅Super scary atmosphere and amazing designed character models ✅Great Graphics (an impressive work comming for only 2 devs) ✅Mistical Mexican characters ✅Did I mention that this game was made by only two people? CONS ❌Ocasional FPS went down

The graphics are sick, and the sound effects totally pull you into every scene, making everything way creepier. The characters and vibe are spot-on for keeping you on edge with that constant sense of fear. I was legit anxious having to face the priest or sprint from La Llorona. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good scare with that extra adrenaline kick.

Good work pal!, taking this Mexican legend we grew up with it's pretty awesome!, i gess you still can make a few things better but it's a cool game, entertaining and definitely want to play more, thumbs up!, u recommend it, perfect for te season and excellent price, go for it!
