I am actually quite impressed, it is a good game and i am having a lot of fun. It is extremely causal for me so I can pick it up whenever I want too instead of feeling like I have to get through the story. It is similar to Stardew Valley but merely in the crops way in the beginning than it really becomes its own game.
I remember the original opening cutscene from a lets play haha so I've been following this for quite some time! I saw recently there was an UPDATE?? What!? The devs are still putting love and care into this game!? Heck well I gotta come back and play it again now because I enjoyed it so much the first time. :)

I found this game years ago, as a demo. It caught my eye but there wasn't anything substantial to really impress me--but it was extremely new in early, early access. Years later, I'm blown away. The depth and breadth of the story and lore is impressive. The ability and fighting system is simple yet rewarding. Without spoilers, the way the story unfolds and gives you unique mechanics that evolve over time is so much fun to experience. There's this perfect mix of cozy life sim, farm and family sim, and story/world exploration. Want to focus on the farm/family sim side? Go for it. Do you want to push into the story and focus on your relationships with NPCs? Absolutely. Become a business tycoon? Check. The mechanics feel really good, you have the freedom to play how you choose, and personally I think the writing is incredible. For fans of Stardew Valley, Moonstone Island, My Time at Portia, etc you will really enjoy this. And if you're concerned with the overwhelming amount of lore and information to keep up with, the game does the best I've seen with tools to track details, events, and in-game information. At the time of writing I'm 30 hours in, and there's SO much I haven't experienced yet in the games story and mechanics. This is a hidden gem that people will start to discover. Do yourself a favor and give it a shot.
Truly one of my favorite games. Silly is one of many words I use to describe it. I have been playing on and off since the original release date in 2022 and have recently acquired every achievement. I do think it sits in a spot that can be hard to play for some people, where it is quite a large world but its not open world. It is kind of in a middle place of size where it can seem like there is too much going on, but it can also seem a little small if you were looking for something open world. The jokes, the puns, the stories and the characters are all just wonderful. I adore this game very much and will likely come back to play it again in the future even though I have already finished it.
Kynseed is less a farming sim (though you can farm in it) and more an open-ended life sim. It's the kind of game where you could, in theory, stand around and do nothing and the game world will move on around you. I mean, it would probably be boring, but the game will happily let you do it. The art and the music are both spectacular so you could just be vibing to the music and enjoying the farm. The story is a bit darker than other games in the same genre, though more like cozy dystopia than grimdark. Other reviews have mentioned a lot of fart jokes and the like. The humor is silly - some toilet humor, leaning on the fourth wall, goofy puns, a few tongue-in-cheek innuendos, lots of references to other games and media. If that's not your thing, you won't like Kynseed; it's just the devs' and writers' sense of humor. I thought the jokes were cute and in some spots even clever, but like I said, your mileage may vary. It's also a game that expects to be taken slowly and doesn't always explain itself. The story will take you through the core mechanics for the most part, but there's some things you have to either find or stumble into. I like the sense of discovery, but if you prefer to have a game that lays it out more explicitly, you might end up frustrated. Overall I'm definitely gonna pour a bunch of time into this, but it's not for everyone and that's okay.

This game is very cozy and feels like Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing had a more magical and esoteric baby.
Buy this game on sale. A lot of good ideas that need refined. As of now, there are a few things I really don't like: 0. Pacing is off. LET ME PLAY THE GAME, LET ME UNLOCK STUFF FASTER AND HAVE FUN! 1. You can't build fast travel points at the farm. This is a huge annoyance. Having to hop between maps every time I want to go somewhere gets old fast. 2. You can't customize your kids/family. I got two black babies. Neither parent is black. Am I the cuck? Also, charging 50 flowers just to change clothes is absurd. Why? 3. What's the purpose of sheep? They don't seem to have a meaningful use. 4. Let me place orders at my own shops. I own them. If it's considered too powerful, lock it behind a perk or late-game upgrade.
very good game
This game is a bit hard to put my finger on. Like the Idea is THERE and I love it. But after the post prologue moment I felt no reason to burn years for resources, like the cost V reward feels too steep. However, I love the game and the whole running a business side is great
