Kuchisake Onna - 口裂け女

boring but good

It was OK, short and scary but not too scary. The AI a bit of a goof because I would run past her in the same room and not get chased. A better game that contains the Kuchisake Onna would be Slit Mouthed, probably play that one after this one since this game is very short.

Unfortunately I kept getting stuck with some annoying bugs. Also the sound didn't help to tell me where the monster was. The game was too dark and footsteps didn't neccessarily mean that the monster wasn't just stuck inside a wall and waiting for you. Couldn't complete it and I can't recommend it at this point. They have some way to go. Best part was the music from light containment zone.

I loved giving this game a run through! There are definitely a few heart-pounding moments, along with a few things to figure out along the way. A very limited command menu, so not too much to worry about there. It's really easy to figure out what you need to do next, even if you might have to try a few times (or more) to succeed. Everything about this game is horribly uninspired - the puzzles, the spirit chasing you, and not to mention the map design which makes being chased by a ghost a horrible experience with no upsides whatsoever. I had to stop playing this game early into it because of all these reasons, but the straw that broke the camel's back was the fact that the first interaction with the spirit in question ruined what little immersion I had left. I found myself being chased back into a tiny room with little space to navigate to get around the spirit. Not only that, but the spirit is unceremoniously dumped onto you; there is no well-crafted introduction to the monster at all. It just appears out of thin air while you're walking down a hallway. Back to the lack of immersion, I've found that the puzzles before hand being so poor contributed to that, but so did the notes describing a boring plot about obtaining immortality that had absolutely no narrative hook or personality. It's for these reasons that I hope to get a refund on this game, even though it's only three dollars, I feel like I have more self-respect than to let this slide, so I want my money back. If you do decide, anyway, to play this horror game merely because it's an example of a bad horror game - been there, done that, and you should absolutely skip this one if that's the case. I've intentionally played bad horror games before because it can be fun, in a comedic sense, but this game isn't that. It's less than a chore; it's a completely bland experience.

Some nice scares but otherwise pretty amateurish job. Not bad, but I wouldn't pay the full asking price for it.

kuchisake does not understand the concept of object permanence and walks through the table, which is pretty cringe

Naprawdę średnia gra. Brzydka grafika, od której może się zrobić niedobrze, historia Kuchisake Onny jest bardzo ciekawa i mogłaby być opisana w fantastyczny sposób, tutaj jednak, wszystko jest jakieś niedopracowane i bardziej denerwujące niż straszne. Nie polecam.
