Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
It’s 1996 and it's raining. Your first apartment, your first quiet night away on your own. Soon after unpacking your first box, finding what your siblings packed away for you, arranging your cassette tapes, and hanging up your favourite denim jacket you accidentally crack open the back of your wardrobe, revealing a portal into your neighbours lives. Interacting and solving puzzles with their personal belongings, you begin to learn who they are, what their lives are like, and how through the lens of loneliness, you can feel connected.
Korter 1996 is an exploration of loneliness in a point and click adventure game. You can organise and decorate your new apartment and go on expeditions to other people's homes to find more items. While exploring different apartments on the block, you get to solve puzzles that will lead you to more information on each of the inhabitants. How you interact with the items in their apartments will move forward their story and through item dialogues you get to know about their lives.

Reviews
alright, this is a tough game to review. i'd give it middle thumb if that was an option. pros: - the game style is great, visually really appealing - i like the premise and the style of organizing and unpacking - good, not too complicated puzzles cons: - the save function (as of 6/22/2025) does not work properly. i didn't know how long the game would be, so i saved it and when i reloaded it didn't properly save my progress. for example, rooms were emptier, complete puzzles were seemingly unfinished. it was a major problem for me, and i had to replay the game several times. - the story was not that great, or well, it had potential, but it felt very inconclusive. i also feel like it would've been better if we learned more about each neighbor, since it all feels very shallow. the ending was probably the weakest part in my opinion. i've played open ended stuff and liked it, but this just didn't mean anything to me. - and finally, the price of the game is completely unfair. once i knew what to do, i finished the game in 40 minutes. i suggest buying on sale. overall, it was a game i have very mixed feelings on. it really had potential but just some parts made it very tiring. i like the art style and everything, i just recommend only if you play in one sitting, but as of now, i don't recommend until its patched, and also due to the (in my opinion) unfair pricing. 5/10 ( also i've got a new yt channel please support my playthrough here, thanks!! https://youtu.be/KNF_vQZhrec?si=ksHGRGXXHJHH1ycO )

i should be tidying my own room but here we are. this game is very calming and looks and feels really cool. nice and nostalgic 90s vibes. very mysterious and ominous story execution. recommended!
The game design is interesting, but the puzzles are hard to figure out and not intuitive at all. I stopped halfway through because it was just too frustrating.
A fun little game with a nice mystery! Short and quite simple, but I loved the art style and atmosphere
Interesting game, love the art. Plays just fine. It's a quiet game, which I enjoyed. The way the stories are told is interesting and fun. Not much else to say. Was just a nice, relaxing game that didn't take too long. I feel the length is just fine.
This is a charming game and really well put together. Lovely atmospheric storytelling, with some puzzle elements reminiscent of the Witness. I really enjoyed it!
Very nice when you need to slow down. I like that there's no rush.
Wonderful artwork and a really engaging surreal atmosphere.
Great little game! Some of the puzzles were a bit obscure but nothing was impossible.
Such a beautiful and mysterious game! I haven't seen all the content yet, but so far the unpacking and unraveling has been very enjoyable <3
