Sad that nobody developed this game further to add more missions and update the graphics, sort of WC3 reforged. I liked it and still playing it sometimes, captivating with a nice story and a good gameplay.

One of my favorite RTS game. Last time I played was year 2004. I'm so happy that I can play it again now. This is awesome!

How much y'all reckon TimeGate would sell this IP for? I'd throw a couple hundred down for it. I miss this ♥♥♥♥ and it's fun and bringing this series back would probably be worth the headaches and alcoholism that gamedev and legal fighting often creates.

The RTS genere peaked in the 1998-2002 golden age period with titles such as Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Tiberium Sun, Age of Empires 2, and Total Annihilation. And then the genre collapsed. The debate regarding the causes of the collapse of RTS continues to this day. At the risk of going out on a limb, one big reason for the collapse of the genre was that its micro-intensiveness was dull and rote. And that's why in the early 2000's, the RTS genre innovated in the direction of less micro and more strategy. This meant fewer units, along with settlement constraints and squad formations, resulting in less micro and more macro. Company of Heroes was the preeminent and most successful embodiment of this trend; but Kohan was among the most quietly influential titles that led to that point. In Kohan, you command armies and cities instead of units and buildings. Think Total War meets Warcraft. Combine that with solid circa-2000 pseudo-3D isometric graphics, and iteration on the formula, and you get one of the hidden RTS gems of the early 2000's. Better yet, I can confirm after just testing it that Kohan 2 works fine on 2560x - which is not something that every 20-year old game can claim. So if you are into strategy games in general and RTS in particular, get this one when it's on sale. It's still playable, it's fun, and it deserves more recognition than it got back in the day. Highly recommended to genre fans - cult classic.

Я тогда учился в начальной школе (3-4 класс). Я и мой друг Влад были у меня на хате и мы дрались подушками, как вдруг, откуда не возьмись, нашелся этот диск. Я не помню, откуда он взялся - я не покупал. Возможно отец домой принес. Правды уже не узнаем, откуда он взялся. Мы ее установили и мне это игры очень понравилась. Помню, когда строили юниты, выбирали, кто за какую пешку играет. "Это я, это я!". Наиграл я в нее приличное количество часов. Помню, как сделал щит, который носит мечник у людей, из картона и отбивался им от одноклассницы т.к. она меня хотела помадой измазать... Правда потом я ей в ухо дал за то, что лезла ко мне. Еще вспомнил, как посоветовал однокласснику Грише в нее поиграть. Ему она очень понравилась еще потому, что там надо вводить ключ при 1 запуске. Помню он мне говорил, что жалко, что не надо каждый раз вводить при заходе в игру, чтобы сестра не играла :D Еще помню, как всю карту аванпостами застроил, играя за людей. Пришла мака с работы на обед и дала мне пизды, что опять уроки не сделал... Вот такие теплые воспоминания у меня связанные с этой игрой. Жалко диск потерялся. Вроде давал однокласснику. Вернул его или нет - точно не помню. Возможно у него, возможно в гараже.
