Simple and fun. Perhaps too simple...
Such a great little game for almost nothing! Buy it!!
Coud have been very good if it was properly playable with a controller.

This cute Vampire Survivors-like (I don't like the term "bullet heaven") has its own charm, plays pretty well, and was a fun casual roguelike/lite experience. There are many weapon variations like Staff, Bow, Boomerang, Minigun, Shotgun, and Fish, all of which can be crafted with different sub-pieces, making every weapon you build more or less unique. Difficulty-wise, it's not really hard but was a great experience. Things I personally don't like, or rather wish they would be added: First of all, the controls should be updated and polished. Controller can handle movement, but everything menu and upgrade-related is forced through the use of the mouse. The issue with the KB&M controls is that even though you can use A/D to move through the upgrades, there's no "enter" button to confirm, so you're again forced to use the mouse for that. I think the hitboxes should be a little more polished. I've had many times where I lost HP even though I'm pretty sure nothing hit me. What I wish for in the future would be a way to speed up the game and monsters to make it a little faster and more difficult at the same time. And I don't get why the game "continues" when killing the final boss. The only thing you can do is collect your last XP and maybe get an upgrade, but what's the point? You just end up going to the chest and the teleporter, so why give the impression that there's more to come if there's nothing? Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun playing the game and will look forward to future updates. Keep up the good work!
Fun, cute and very affordable survivors-like. I've been playing a lot of games in the bullet heaven genre lately and this is one of the games I've enjoyed the most. I love the cat theme and the hand-drawn art. The weapons, abilities and evolutions are fun. It's not the most complex or expansive game in this genre but there are multiple characters and maps to unlock, you can create different weapon types with different appearances and there are multiple pets to evolve which help you in battle. Absolutely worth it if you love bullet heavens.
Generally unbalanced weapons (a strong screen clearer like the fuzz, movement speed + smaller character and the shield are noticeably better than almost anything else) and characters differ little, with most secondaries being not worth using. Something of a grind. Only getting rerolls and banishes every few levels means that when you most need them -- at the start -- they're not available.
Sprites and sounds are very uninteresting. Powers are mostly based on disgusting body functions. Music is too repetitive. Navigating the base isn't fun. If you don't have perfect vision, it's too hard to figure out which upgrade you're selecting and what it evolves. Progression is boring. Not the worst game ever, but there's just no good reason to play it.
I can only recommend this game for children because of its simplicity. It has nothing to do with the cute setting, animal theme, or mild potty humour. Of all survivor games, this is the easiest I’ve ever played. If you're into slow paced survivor games which lack chaos, then it's perfect. There are 4 maps with 3 difficulties. Each map contains 15 rounds, or ‘waves.’ Each wave lasts 60 seconds. Rounds will spawn two elites and two bosses. When a boss spawns, the wave timer freezes and resumes after the boss is defeated. Elites do not freeze wave timers. Once the final boss is defeated, enemies stop spawning and the map is finished by walking onto the platform. You can select up to 6 spells per game which autocast and choose up to 6 passives. There are 16 spells in the game that can evolve. Spells evolve by having the correct passive chosen. All spells can evolve but not all passives synergise with a spell. There are 7 pets to unlock that will fight alongside you. One pet will accompany you per match. These pets can permanently evolve by feeding them 75 apples which are purchased by gold. Once evolved, they can’t revert back to their weaker baby form. The following weapons can be crafted: Bow, boomerang, staff, minigun, fish. Weapons are crafted by finding components dropped by defeated elites and bosses. Weapon attributes are determined by the quality of components used. Three components are required per craft: 1. Grip defines the weapon perk (free spell). 2. Body defines weapon type (bow, staff, etc.). 3. Point defines weapon elements (fire, water, earth, air).
What’s Good
1. No lag, very smooth gameplay. 2. 6 playable cats to unlock. 3. 7 combat pets to unlock. 4. Permanent upgrades via gold can be refunded. 5. Dash ability. Can dash through enemies without taking damage.
What’s Bad
1. Spell effect transparency can’t be lowered or disabled. Enemies and projectiles can be difficult to see 2. at end game. I avoided some spell evolutions and pets for this negative. 3. Can’t press 1-2-3 on keyboard for levelup choices. You must click. 4. Can’t increase game speed. 5. Weapon components are limited. Complementary perks with components are always the same. In other words, crafting the best weapon is easy. 6. Can’t alt-tab without the game pausing. 7. Every cat's unique ability is underwhelming or near useless.
