Did not get into the vibe at all. How did this get a Very Positive rating? Aside controller support being jank (not being able to traverse menus with a controller - a very minor gripe), I've seen better animation in 20 year old flash games and hit box detection is not great.
Relaxed and easy going. I actually fully completed this one. I normally just play through and move on but I liked it so much I wanted to unlock everything.
Miaoooooo , divertente e simpatico un gioco meritevole ,da avere nelle vostre librerie di steam . Micio micio a tutti . Per aiuto o informazioni mi trovate nel canale DISCORD , non siate timidi/e : https://discord.gg/eRum2MaJxc
possibly one of the more boring by the books survivor-likes I've played. it has nothing going for it. music is awful and hurt my ears which doesn't even loop properly. skills and how they work is your by the numbers with it's only true gimmick how meta progression works. but that doesn't matter with a game this dull.
Game is a lot of fun, really silly powers and monster designs that remind me of Adventure Time. I love your card art for the different abilities, tons of personality! I can't claim it as a fault because you clearly list partial controller support, but one of my only complaints is menu navigation with a controller. It would be awesome if you could give that one more go over. As having to use the mouse can be annoying.
Kitty Survivors: Rogues of Catmere, developed and published by Little Horror Studios, is a colorful, fast-paced roguelite that blends the chaos of survival arenas with the charm of anthropomorphic feline heroes. Set in the fantastical world of Catmere, the game puts players in the paws of adventurous cats defending their homeland from waves of bizarre creatures and cursed monstrosities. Despite its lighthearted premise and playful tone, the gameplay is surprisingly robust, offering an intricate system of upgrades, weapon crafting, and pet evolution that gives each run a distinct rhythm and sense of progression. It’s a game that hides strategic depth beneath its cute surface, combining humor, action, and roguelite unpredictability into a compact yet satisfying package. The experience begins in classic roguelite fashion: you select a cat hero, enter an arena, and prepare to survive wave after wave of increasingly aggressive enemies. The core mechanics are simple but addictive. As you defeat enemies, you gain experience and collect resources that allow you to upgrade weapons, learn elemental skills, and evolve your pet companions. Every few minutes, the battlefield transforms into a whirlwind of explosions, power-ups, and visual effects as your character’s abilities compound into overwhelming destruction. The combat system is both chaotic and rewarding, and the sheer number of projectiles and enemies on screen captures the exhilarating spirit of bullet-hell games while maintaining an approachable learning curve. The randomness of item drops and perk combinations ensures that no two runs play the same, encouraging experimentation with different builds and playstyles. The visual presentation of Kitty Survivors is one of its most endearing aspects. The top-down pixel art style is vibrant and expressive, with each character, enemy, and attack animation designed to maximize clarity and personality. The environments, while relatively simple, complement the frantic action with bright color palettes and dynamic lighting effects that give each battlefield a sense of liveliness. The soundtrack adds another layer of charm, offering upbeat adventure tunes that evoke the spirit of classic handheld-era games. The music builds momentum alongside the intensity of combat, creating a satisfying rhythm that keeps the adrenaline flowing. It’s clear that Little Horror Studios prioritized atmosphere and feedback over complexity, resulting in a game that is visually cohesive, audibly energetic, and immediately engaging. Where Kitty Survivors shines most is in its progression systems. Between battles, players can forge new weapons, hatch eggs to acquire pets, and combine elements to create devastating synergies. The forge system allows for creative weapon experimentation, letting you craft everything from conventional blades and bows to absurd contraptions like explosive fish or mystical staves. The pet system adds another layer of strategy, as companions can evolve into stronger versions that enhance your abilities or act as additional attackers during combat. This combination of systems gives the player a tangible sense of growth with every session. Even if a run ends in defeat, the resources collected can be used to strengthen future attempts, making each failure feel like a step forward rather than a setback. The game strikes a fine balance between accessibility and depth, making it easy for casual players to enjoy while still rewarding those who dig into its mechanics. Despite its many strengths, the game does face some limitations common to smaller indie titles. While the weapon and pet variety offer plenty of short-term fun, the content pool begins to feel thin after several hours of play. The arenas, though functional, lack significant environmental diversity, and the enemy types don’t always demand different tactics, which can make later runs feel repetitive. The elemental synergy system, while intriguing in concept, doesn’t always have the dramatic impact one might expect; often the sheer power of raw damage upgrades overshadows the more nuanced combinations. Some players may also find the difficulty curve uneven, as early progression can feel too forgiving before later stages spike sharply in intensity. These issues don’t break the game, but they highlight its modest scope and suggest room for further expansion through updates or future entries. Still, Kitty Survivors: Rogues of Catmere succeeds in delivering what it promises: a fun, replayable, and charming roguelite that knows exactly what it wants to be. It’s a game that doesn’t overreach but polishes its core loop to a satisfying shine. The thrill of watching your feline hero transform from a fragile kitten into a storm of destruction never grows old, and the quick, 10–20 minute runs make it an ideal pick-up-and-play experience. Its humor, creativity, and rewarding sense of progression make it easy to lose track of time as you chase higher scores and crazier builds. While it may not redefine the genre, its balance of whimsy and challenge sets it apart from more generic survival titles. For players who enjoy roguelites that combine accessibility, charm, and frantic fun, Kitty Survivors: Rogues of Catmere stands out as a delightful and surprisingly addictive adventure in the ever-growing world of indie action games. Rating: 8/10
Cute and simple.
This is cat astrophically addictive. Works fine on my Deck (that is now basically a survivor-rogue-lite machine for me), should have a playable rating (some small text and sometimes you are required to use the touch screen to press buttons).
