Kitty Powers' Matchmaker Makeover

The original Kitty Powers Matchmaker is one of my favorite games of all time, so obviously I had to pick this one up. At first I thought I might not get a lot out of Makeover since I played the original so much, but there are quite a few significant changes that make Makeover feel fresh. First off, I adore how much more customizable the characters are. Each character feels a lot more unique and interesting than they did in the original, and I do think the art looks nicer/smoother. We now also have the option of choosing building customizations when achieving a level up, which I love! It definitely makes me feel more motivated to keep going to achieve that level up so I can continue growing my matchmaking headquarters. In addition, some of the mini-games have been updated or even replaced with something new - the one I was most excited about was the "flirting" mini-game. In the original KPMM, the rock-paper-scissors style game was so frustrating. I almost always cheated on that one, otherwise I would not succeed. I appreciate that this game was re-tooled to the point that I can enjoy playing it, and it no longer feels like it is a game of random chance. All in all, I definitely recommend this game, especially if you enjoyed the original! I hope we'll see a remake of Kitty Powers Love Life next, as I'd love to be able to import the couples I make in KPMMM like we could in the original.

this is such a well-done "makeover" for the original game! i'm honestly so glad they spent the time they needed to produce the game, as it was so so worth it. the parts of the game that carried over are all refined, and the new parts are all very nice additions! so far i've finished the game once-over already, and im a happy bunny! i am so very excited to see where this one goes, as the developers listen to players and are still changing things based on feedback, which is so lovely. my support for these games have only doubled since this one, and cannot wait for anything new that kitty and her magical devs come out with.

I've always loved these games. They're a great way to pass the time while working your brain and having fun. Seeing that a makeover for Matchmaker was AMAZING, and it did not disappoint — it's still just as fun. I really hope this means Love Life will also be remade to allow character exchange like from the last game. Plus, I'm obsessed with it and want to see the new features in this game work long-term. Lots of love. Please play all of the Kitty games.

As a kid I remember playing this game on my iPad. I’m almost certain I watched some YouTuber play it, which made me buy it ect. I’d totally forgotten about it until I saw this in the steam sale. This game is so much fun, and so oddly addictive. It’s LGBTQ+ friendly, and they’ve really gone above with the remastered version. New customisation options, new mini games ect. One thing I do miss? Is the fact you used to be able to have a “inner personality” like you could be an edgy type with a secret hipster side? I always thought that was so fun. Even with it missing from this game it’s still tones of fun. I really hope you plan to remaster the sequel love life too! Played this on my steam deck, just changed the controls to mouse controls only and it works like a dream! Couldn’t recommend enough.
